St. Joe's Hosts Free Sports Clinic for National Girls and Women in Sports Day
STANDISH, ME - Saint Joseph's College celebrated National Girls and Women in Sports Day with a free sports clinic for area girls on Sunday, February 1st at the Harold Alfond Center. The event was sponsored by the SJC athletic department and the Student Athlete Advisory Committee. Over 25 girls participated in the clinic and received instruction from team members from each sport. The girls picked up tips in lacrosse, softball, volleyball, basketball, field hockey, soccer and cross country.

Over 25 girls participated in the clinic and received instruction

This national event is conducted each year to introduce girls to
different sports and encourage participation. The St. Joe’s
athletes delivered the message that being involved in sports is
more than a game; sports make us set goals and rise above them.
