Jamie Chue (Men's Volleyball- Rivier), Allyson Dowen (Women's Basketball- Johnson & Wales), Tessa Dudunake (Women's Swimming- Elms), and Xavier Everson (Men's Basketball- Emmanuel) have been named Great Northeast Athletic Conference Rookies of the Week.

Men's Basketball- Xavier Everson, Emmanuel College, Freshman, Rochester, N.Y.

This week Everson led the Saints, averaging 14.3 points and 7.3 assists per game and a total of 22 rebounds. He shot .465 from the floor and also picked up 7 blocks and 4 steals in his 3 games played this week. Also the freshman guard is topping the GNAC charts; he is ranked 12^th in the GNAC for assists (42), 15^th for steals (22), 6^th for blocked shots (24), 7^th for offensive rebounds (42), and 8^th for defensive rebounds (86).

Women's Basketball- Allyson Dowen, Johnson & Wales, Freshman, Burlington, V.T.

Dowen set the record for the Wildcats, averaging a test best of 13 points and 4.5 rebounds per game this week. She scored 17 points and tallied seven rebounds in the GNAC match up against Albertus Magnus. For the week, she averaged a team-best 13 points and added 4.5 rebounds per contest. Overall Dowen is ranked 12^th in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference for scoring with 241 points, 14^th for free throw pct. (.722), and 8^th for three point pct (.375).

Men's Volleyball- Jamie Chue, Rivier College, Freshman, Newton, Mass.

Jamie Chue was the spark on Rivier's offense, which led them to two conference victories this week and helped take the lead in the GNAC. Chue was consistent with his jump serve to record 5 aces in 3 sets against fourth seeded Mount Ida. The freshman took charge of the offense in both contests by hitting .376 against Emerson and .387 against Mount Ida.

Women's Swimming- Tessa Dudunake, Elms, Freshman, Northampton, Mass.

Dudunake was not only the top performer for the Blazers this week but also set two new Elms College school records. In the meet against Regis College, Dudunake won all three events including the 200-meter freestyle (2:23.60), and registered top times of 29.67 in the 50-meter freestyle, and 1:04.70 in the 100-meter freestyle, both were new school records.
