Player of the Year
Albertus' 6'1'' junior center, Kendrae Walker has been named to the GNAC's first team all conference, has been selected as the 2009-2010 Player of the Year and named to the Sportsmanship team. Walker led the Falcons to the Championship game by hitting a layup with a mere 2 seconds remaining to defeat Suffolk in the Quarter Final round of playoffs. Walker was also was honored as the Jan. 18th Player of the Week for her extraordinary play against St. Joseph's (CT) and Mt. Ida. Walker has a conference field goal percentage of .506, three point field goal pct of .901, free throw pct of .814, a total of 114 rebounds, 34 steals, and averaging 21 points per game in conference play.
Emmanuel's senior guard Iman Davis has shattered records this season. Not only is she selected to the first team all conference, but this year she broke the GNAC All-Time scoring record. She is ranked 8th in the GNAC with 320 points, averaging 13.9 points per game. Also 1st in steals (2.9), 17th in rebounds (7.1), 9th in assists (3.5), 3rd for assist-turnover ratio (1.2), and 15th in offensive rebounds (2.7).
Emerson's sophomore Lauren Zaniboni was named to the first-team all-conference, who was selected as last year's Rookie of the Year. Zaniboni is currently ranked 5th in the league for scoring, with 374 points, averaging 14.4 points per game. The 6'2'' center also is 5th in rebounds (9.8), 2nd in field goal percentage (.506), 3rd in blocked shots (1.9), 14th in offensive rebounds (2.8), and 2nd in defensive rebounds (7.1),
Johnson & Wales' senior forward Alexia Ramirez has been selected to the first-team all-conference for the third consecutive year. Ramirez is ranked 7th in the GNAC for scoring, with a total 351 points, averaging 14 points per game. A thread offensively and defensively, Ramirez is 6th in rebounds (8.8), 14th in free throw percentage (.719), 4th in steals (2.3), 13th in three point field goal pct. (.333), 11th in blocked shots (1.1), 10th in offensive rebounds (3.0), and 7th in defensive rebounds (5.7).
Simmons senior forward Stephanie Fox was also named to the first-team all-conference. Fox is ranked 2nd in the conference for scoring with 397 points, averaging 15.9 points per game. Also she is featured in nearly every category including, leading the conference in blocked shots (2.9) and defensive rebounds (7.3) , 5th in rebounds (9.0), 8th in field goal percentage (.448), 13th in assists (2.8), 4th in free throw percentage (.853), and 8th in three point field goal pct. (.372).
Rookie of the Year
Olivia DiNucci, Emerson's starting guard, has been selected as the GNAC 2009-2010 Rookie of the Year. She is ranked 3rd in the conference for scoring with a total of 388 points, averaging 14.9 points per game. DiNucci is 11th in field goal percentage (.438), 2nd in free throw pct. (.870), 2nd in three point field goal pct. (.407), and 2nd in three point fg made (2.8).
Defensive Player of the Year
Norwich's Ally Daniels has been named the Defensive Player of the Year. Currently, she holds 11th place in the conference for scoring with 333 points, averaging 13.3 points per game. The 5'10'' senior guard is ranked 10th for field goal percentage (.441) and 8th in steals (2.2).
Coach of the Year
Simmons head coach Tony Price was named the 2009-2010 GNAC Women's Basketball Coach of the Year. In January of 2009, he made history with his 100th career win.
