Emerson Tops 2010 Women's Lacrosse Pre-Season Poll
Emerson, the winner of the 2009 GNAC Womens Lacrosse Championship, has been selected as the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Womens Lacrosse preseason favorite in a vote conducted by GNAC coaches. Ross Named To All-Region Team
Emerson College lacrosse midfielder Maeghan Ross (So., Wrentham, Mass.) has been named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Association Division III Pilgrim Region All-Region team. Ross, who was the 2009 Great Northeast Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year, was a second team selection, and was the only GNAC Player named to either of the first two teams.

Lasell's Caitlyn Murphy Named to ECAC Women's Lacrosse All-Star Team
Lasell College senior attack Caitlyn Murphy (Kathonah, NY) has been named to the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) All-Star Second Team.

Castleton Downs Emerson in ECAC Semifinal
Third-seeded Castleton State College made the most of its scoring opportunities and upset second seeded Emerson College 22-15 in the semifinals of the Eastern College Athletic Conference New England Division III Championship tournament at Emersons Rotch Field. The Spartans connected on 22 of 36 shots in the game.

Emerson Advances to ECAC Semifinals
Second seeded Emerson College (13-2)overcame a listless opening 20 minutes to defeat seventh seeded Worcester State College (7-7) 15-11 and advance to the semi-finals of the Eastern College Athletic Conference New England Division III Championship Tournament.

Lions Seeded Second In ECAC New England Division III Tournament
Emerson College has secured the second seed in the 2009 Eastern College Athletic Conference New England Division III Womens Lacrosse Championship Tournament. The Lions (12-2) will face seventh seeded Worcester State College (7-6) on Wednesday at 3:30pm at Rotch Field. Emerson defeated the Lancers 15-7 earlier this season.

Emerson College women's lacrosse team defeated Norwich University on Saturday evening to capture the 2009 GNAC Women's Lacrosse Championship.

Womens Lacrosse Seeds Set, Emerson Earns Top Spot
The 2009 GNAC Womens Lacrosse pairings are now available. The Emerson College Lions earned the first with a perfect 6-0 GNAC record and 10-2 record overall.

Norwich junior Ally Daniels was selected as the GNAC Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week, Simmons freshmen Lee Sutherland was named GNAC Women's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week, and Simmons junior Amanda Weaver was selected GNAC Women's Lacrosse Goalkeeper of the Week.

Lasell senior Caitlyn Murphy was selected as the GNAC Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week, Emerson freshmen Amy Gervis was named GNAC Women's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week, and Lasell sophomore Kristin Coderre was selected GNAC Women's Lacrosse Goalkeeper of the Week.

Kristin Coderre Selected as ECAC New England Defensive Player of the Week
Kristin Coderre, a 510 sophomore goalie from Monson, Massachusetts, was selected as the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) New England Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending March 23rd. Coderre went a perfect 3-0 in net, recording 20 saves and a goal-against average of 5.00. She began the week with four saves against Anna Maria College and then picked up 16 saves against Simmons College leading the Lasers to their first GNAC victory.

New Breed of Mustang Pride
Here at Mount Ida College we are accustomed to the force of mens lacrosse that has been very successful in the past years which has now paved the way for an up and coming womens lacrosse program. First year Head Coach Peri West plans to alert the Mount Ida community about the womens game as she and her team establish a new breed of Mustang pride.

Norwich Edges Out Emerson In Preseason Coaches' Poll
Defending GNAC tournament champion Norwich has been chosen as the womens lacrosse preseason favorite of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference in a vote conducted by the leagues coaches. The Cadets, who were 4-1 in conference play and 11-5 overall earned the first ever GNAC womens lacrosse conference title, received four first place votes and a total of 45 points in the GNAC womens lacrosse preseason poll. The Cadets return six members of the first-team all-conference team, including GNAC tournament MVP junior midfielder Ally Daniels. Other first-team all-conference selections include attackers Ashley Haviland and Chelsea Martin, midfielder Kathleeen Hennessy, defender Dawn McNulty, and goalkeeper Kellie Pickel.

Norwich Claims First Ever GNAC Womens Lacrosse Championship
BOSTON, Mass. - Second-seeded Norwich University scored the first five goals of the second half to rally from a two goal halftime deficit and defeat top seeded Emerson College 10-8 in the first ever Great Northeast Athletic Conference Women's Lacrosse Championship Game.
