INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – For the second year in a row, Johnson & Wales University earned the right to host the NCAA Division III women's volleyball regional. The eight-team regional kicks off Friday at the Wildcat Center on the JWU Harborside Campus.
The host Wildcats, who are ranked second nationally, will take on Eastern Connecticut State University Friday at 8 p.m. The winner of that match will play the winner of the Franklin & Marshall vs. SUNY New Paltz contest, which is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
The first 100 JWU students get in free each day. After that student tickets are only $4 with $6 for adults, senior citizens at $4 and children set at $3.
Friday's action kicks off with Wesleyan taking on Kean at 12:30 p.m. That match is followed at 3 pm when Springfield College plays the Maine Maritime Academy.
The semifinal matches are slated for Saturday at 2:30 and 5 p.m. with the championship match taking place Sunday at 2 p.m.
The winner of the Providence Regional will advance to the NCAA Tournament quarterfinals in Pittsburgh.
