The Great Northeast Athletic Conference is pleased to announce its newly formed partnership with Phoenix Design Works, a logo branding and promotion company. Recently, Phoenix Design Works created the logo for the 2010 Great Northeast Athletic Conference Professional Development Seminar, where athletic administration, coaches, and distinguished student-athletes are invited to attend. Commissioner Joe Walsh wanted the logo of this year's GNAC seminar to truly reflect the professionalism of the conference and knew that Phoenix Design Works would create a symbol of the values the conference upholds.
After living in Boston for many years, Phoenix Design Principal and Creative Director, James M. Skiles connected with the GNAC on a personal level. "We love Boston. We trace our family back to the landing at Plymouth Rock. Boston and New England just seem like the ideal environment for student athletes to get the most out of the D.III experience."
When asked why he chose a partnership with Phoenix Design, GNAC Commissioner Joe Walsh stated that he "strives to have partnerships with companies who have similar core values to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference: community, sportsmanship and integrity. Phoenix Design Works is a company committed towards those principles and their promotions and products support athletes across both the nation and the world."
Based out of New York City, Phoenix Design Works focuses on Sports Branding, Collegiate Branding, and Consumer Branding. They have a wide range of clients including MLB, NBA, NFL, MLS teams, ESPN, USTA and even Nascar racing. A few local clients they have produced logos and promotions for include Harvard Athletics as well as the UMass Minutemen.
