JWU's Lenhardt Places Sixth, Earns All-American Honors At NCAA Division III Wrestling Championship
Junior wrestling standout Colin Lenhardt (Gloucester, Va.) notched a sixth-place finish at the 2013 NCAA Division III National Championship, held at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena over the weekend.
Junior wrestling standout Colin Lenhardt (Gloucester, Va.) notched a sixth-place finish at the 2013 NCAA Division III National Championship, held at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena over the weekend. Lenhardt became the 11th All-American in the history of the JWU wrestling program. Competing at 184 pounds, Lenhardt posted a 3-3 record for the championship.
On Saturday, Lenhardt opened the day with a victory over Roland Dunlap of Wisconsin-Whitewater. In the consolation semifinals, Lenhardt was defeated by Josh Thomson from Messiah. He then wrapped up the weekend with a loss to Mitchell Hagen from St. John's of Minnesota in the fifth-place match.
Lenhardt finished the 2013 campaign with a 21-7 record while setting the record for career win by a pin fall, recording his 53rdover the weekend.
