GNAC Baseball Report: Week 2
JWU's Miles Kelly and Lasell's Matthew Fletcher took home GNAC Week 2 Player and Pitcher of the Week honors, respectively.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK Miles Kelly, Johnson & Wales (RI) (Sr., INF - East Setauket N.Y.) - Kelly batted .500 (10-20) with two home runs and nine RBI as the Wildcats went 3-1 last week, posting a 1.350 OPS with six runs scored. Against No. 15 Randolph-Macon on Tuesday, Kelly belted a grand slam. Kelly's 2-for-4, two RBI effort helped JWU to a 4-3 win over Catholic before going 3-for-4 with a home run, three RBI and three runs scored in a win over La Roche.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK Matthew Fletcher, Lasell (Sophomore, P - Wethersfield, Conn.) - Fletcher pitched a seven-inning complete game with a program-record 14 strikeouts in a 14-1 win over Franciscan, allowing just two hits with one walk.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK Jared Schmitt, Colby-Sawyer (First Year, INF - Surry, N.H.) - Schmitt had a scorching week for the Chargers finishing the week 6-for-9 with two homers, two doubles, seven runs scored, nine RBI and three stolen bases.

WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Jarrod Marifiote, Anna Maria (Gr.) - Hit .5000 (8-16) with a .528 OBP and .536 slugging with two runs and five RBI during a 1-3 stretch for the AMCATS.
Cooper O'Brien, Colby-Sawyer (Sr, OF - Vergennes, Vt.) - O'Brien had a career-week for the Chargers with three home runs, seven runs scored and nine RBI.
AJ Cook, Elms (Junior, INF - Mendon, Mass.) - Cook went 15-for-28 (.536) with 4 doubles, 2 triples, 14 RBI, 9 BB, 8 runs, and 3 steals.
Tim Callahan, Lasell (Sophomore, IF - Attleboro, Mas.) - Hit .750 over two games with six hits and five runs.
Jonathan Dube, Saint Joseph's (Me.) (Senior, C - Rochester, N.H.) - Dube hit .348 (8-23) with a .464 OBP, four walks, a double, and two RBI in seven games last week. He helped propel the Monks to a 5-2 win over Mount Union on Thursday by going 4-4 with a run, a double, and an RBI.
Dylan Aliberti, Rivier (Fr., C - Sandown, NH) - Aliberti had a great week of baseball both behind the dish and in the box. As a freshman, he hit an impressive .421 with a .684 slugging percentage. In 19 at bats, he had eight hits, of which three were doubles and one was a triple. He also batted in four while walking six times and scoring four times himself.
