Albertus Magnus sophomore Shawn Smith slugged three homers last week en route to a 2.070 OPS for the Falcons.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK Shawn Smith, Albertus Magnus (So., 1B/P - Shelton, Conn.) - Smith exploded for for the Falcons in a 3-1 week, going 6-for-11 with five runs, three home runs, nine RBI, and four walks en route to a .545/.706/1.365 slash line for a 2.070 OPS. He had back-to-back two-hit performances against Rivier, with two of the four hits coming as home runs, and tallied six of the nine RBI in the doubleheader split. He then capped the week going 2-for-4 with three runs scored, one home run, three RBI, and a walk in the Facons' doubleheader sweep against Sage.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK Kyle Cutler, Johnson & Wales (RI) (Gr., P - East Hampton, Conn.) - Cutler tossed a nine-inning, complete-game shutout on Sunday in a 2-0 win over Dean. The graduate student scattered five hits and did not walk a batter while fanning seven to even his record at 2-2 on the season.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK Jared Wilhelm, Saint Joseph's (Maine) (Fr., OF - Tolland, Conn.) - Wilhelm hit .450 (9-20) with three runs and three doubles in a 4-1 week for the Monks. The freshman outfielder capped the week by going 4-for-4 with a pair of doubles in a one-run loss to NEC on Sunday. He also went 1-for-2 on the basepaths, swiping a bag against Norwich.

WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
James Powers, Anna Maria (Sr.) - Powers was 7-for-13 with a .923 slugging percentage in three games, registering two doubles, a homer, and three RBI.
Tyler Galenski, Elms (Senior, C - Wilbraham, Mass.) - Galenski was 6-for-11 with two runs, two soubles, five RBI and two steals in a 2-1 week for the Blazers.
Matthew Fletcher, Lasell (Sophomore, P - Wethersfield, Conn.) - Fletcher struck out 11 over 6.0 innings in a big GNAC win over Anna Maria, allowing two earned on four hits and five walks in an 11-2 victory.
Patrick Young, Rivier (Jr., OF - Billerica, Mass.) - Young led the Raiders lineup with a .313 average. He had five hits in 16 at bats. All seven of his RBI came against GNAC opponents helping them to a 2-2 start in conference play.
Matthew Bergeron, Saint Joseph's (Me.) (Graduate, RHP - Salem, N.H.) - Bergeron posted a 1.08 ERA with 10 strikeouts while allowing one run on seven hits and one walk in 8.1 innings last week. The graduate righthander fanned four in two innings versus Plymouth State on Tuesday and yielded one run on six hits with six K's across 6.1 innings to pick up the win against NEC on Sunday.
Luke Stephens, Saint Joseph's (Me.) (Junior, RHP/IF - Glastonbury, Conn.) - Stephens led the Monks to a 4-1 week by hitting .474 with two runs, a pair of doubles, and nine RBI. The junior corner infielder notched two hits and two RBI in four-consecutive games - all SJC wins - and also earned a pair of saves on the mound after working 1.2 scoreless innings in relief.
