GNAC Field Hockey Report: Week 1

Colby-Sawyer's Aoife Daly had two goals and the game-winning assist in a 4-3 overtime win against granite state rival Plymouth State.

	PLAYER OF THE WEEK Aoife Daly, Colby-Sawyer (Sr, F - Harwich, Mass.) - Daly came in clutch for the Chargers in a 4-3 overtime win against granite state rival Plymouth State. Daly finished with two goals and the game-winning assist to co-captain Calie Sorenson.
	GOALKEEPER /ROOKIE OF THE WEEK *Abby Boudreau, Lasell* (Freshman, GK) - The first-year stopped all 14 shots she faced while playing in just the second half of a 4-0 setback at Ramapo.

HONOR ROLL

Jillian Miele, Johnson & Wales (Gr., F, Wilmington, Mass.) - Miele collected five points in a pair of wins last week for JWU. The 2021 GNAC Offensive Player of the Year potted the game-winning goal and recorded an assist in a 2-1 win at Eastern Connecticut on Thursday, then converted a penalty stroke in Saturday's shutout of Salve Regina.

Lily Stark, Lasell (Junior, F) - Stark had the game-winning goal and an assist in a 3-2 win over Salem State last Thursday.

Kassidy Collins, Saint Joseph's (Me.) (2025, GK - Gardiner, Maine) - In three starts and 180 minutes, Collins made 20 saves with a 2.00 GAA and a .769 SV% to lead St. Joe's to a 2-1 start to the season. The sophomore netminder turned away all six shots she faced in a 2-0 season-opening win over Husson on September 1st.

Riley Lambert, Simmons (Grad Senior, F - Virginia Beach, Va.) - Lambert registered a hat-trick in the Sharks opening game against Clark University on the road. Against the Cougars she tallied a career single-game high three goals for a total of six points en route to a commanding 7-3 victory. Later in the week, Lambert helped the Sharks to a 4-1 win over UMass Dartmouth to open the season with a 2-0 mark.
