PLAYER/ROOKIE OF THE WEEK Brooke Farquhar, Colby-Sawyer (Fr., F) First-Year Brooke Farquhar netted six of Colby-Sawyer's 10 goals on the week, pacing the Charger offense to a 3-0 week. She started off strong, netting the game-winning goal in a huge 1-0 overtime victory against New England College. Following up, she collected four goals in another conference victory over Anna Maria and found the back of the net against UMaine Farmington. On the week, she tallied 12 points. |

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK Emma Fissel, Simmons (So., D) Sophomore Emma Fissel led a Simmons defense that only allowed one goal in a 2-0 week. The Sharks only allowed three shots in total the whole game while Fissel chipped in a goal offensively in a 6-1 conference victory over Albertus Magnus. Then, she helped lead the defense to shutting out a top 10 offense in DIII in Thomas (Me.). |

GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK Haley Bright, Simmons (So., GK) Sophomore Haley Bright earned her fifth conference victory and third shutout on the season for Simmons on Saturday (Oct.5). Bright made seven saves in net for the Sharks, shutting down Thomas' high-powered offense that scores a little over four goals a game. The sophomore leads the GNAC in goals against (2), goals against average (0.44), and save percentage (.882). |
WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Mariya Helmbold, Albertus Magnus - Had two goals and an assist in team's first win of the season over Elms.
Ashley Blashock, Colby-Sawyer - Collected two shutout victories over New England College and UMaine Farmington along with seven saves total.
Sara Gardner, Dean - Made 34 saves in two games for the Bulldogs in conference play.
Megan Salsinha, Johnson & Wales - Collected her second hat trick in a GNAC win against Dean.
Alice Rourke, Lasell - Scored three goals in two games in a 1-1 week.
Sydney Gonyea, Simmons - Scored a hat trick in a conference win over Albertus Magnus and collected a goal in non-conference win over Thomas. Totaled eight points on week.
