Offensive Player Of The Week
Maya Waryas, Saint Joseph's (Me.) (Sr.)
Senior Maya Waryas collected a hat trick and an assist for seven points for the Monks in a GNAC victory over Regis. Waryas also added two shots on goal against no. 3 nationally-ranked Babson earlier on in the week.
Defensive Player Of The Week
Jaylen Marsh, New England College (So.)
Sophomore Jaylen Marsh was the anchor behind a New England College (NEC) defense that allowed 1.5 goals per game this past week as they only allowed two goals in a overtime setback against Keene State before Marsh collected a huge defensive save towards the end of the first half, carrying NEC's momentum into a 3-1 conference win over Rivier on Saturday.
Goalkeeper Of The Week
Jaci Felix-Hull, University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) (Jr.)
Junior Jaci Felix-Hull picked up two victories while making 18 saves (.900 save percentage) for the Blue Jays in a 2-0 week that featured wins over non-conference opponent Mount Holyoke, 3-2, in overtime on the road on Tuesday, before shutting out Simmons, 2-0, at home on Saturday in USJ's GNAC opener. She opened the week with 10 saves to help the Blue Jays secure the overtime victory over the Lyons, before making eight saves and posting her first shutout of the season (and third of her career) to shut down the Sharks.
Rookie of the Week
Juliana Meglio, University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) (Fr.)
Freshman Juliana Meglio came in the clutch for the Blue Jays as she netted the game-winning goal in overtime against Mount Holyoke and collecting an insurance goal in USJ's GNAC opening victory over Simmons.
WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Brooke Farquhar, Colby-Sawyer - Led the offensive charge for Colby-Sawyer this week in a sweep of the week. Farquhar would average two assists per game, while scoring her first goal of the season with six points over the two games.
Makenzie Anderson, New England College- Totaled 13 saves across two games this week - posting a .857 save percentage - making seven saves in an overtime loss against Keene State on Tuesday and six more in a conference win over Rivier on Saturday.
Kira Geddes, New England College - Scored two goals this week, netting the team's lone goal against Keene State on Tuesday and later scoring the eventual game-winner against Rivier on Saturday.
Grace Kociszewski, University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) - Opened the week with a pair of goals against the Lyons before netting what proved to be the game-winning goal for the Blue Jays in a shutout versus the Sharks in USJ's GNAC opener, marking the first win for the Blue Jays in field hockey program history over Simmons.
Kaitlin Trudeau, University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) - Played a significant role defensively to help power the Blue Jays to a 2-0 week, which USJ allowed only one goal a game, including a GNAC shutout over Simmons. Added an assist in win over Mount Holyoke.
