Small Named To ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District First Team
Suffolk senior Brian Small (Stoughton, MA) has been named to the 2009 ESPN the Magazien/CoSida Academic All-District Basketball Team College Division First Team. Small currently carries a 3.96 grade point average and is majoring in finance. He currently leads the team in points (18.2), rebounds (9), assists (2.9), blocks (1.4) and steals (1.2) per game. Small is also in the top five of three GNAC statistical categories, points, rebounds, and blocks per game and was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Week for the week ending on February 2, 2009.

The College Sports Information Directors of America selects Academic All America teams in 12 programs: football, women’s volleyball, men’s soccer, women’s soccer, men’s basketball, women’s basketball, baseball, softball, men’s track & field/cross country, women’s track & field/cross country, men’s at large and women’s at large. A first team, second team and third team are selected in both the University (Division I and I-AA) and College (Division II, III and NAIA) Divisions.
