Player Of The Week
Ta'zhon Daniels, Albertus Magnus (Sr.)
Senior Ta'zhon Daniels averaged 32.5 points a game in a 2-0 week for the Falcons with four assists and three steals per contest. He put up 24 points, four assists, and four steals in a 87-74 win over Mitchell (Feb 11) before scoring 41 points, including the game-tying free throws to send the game into OT in win over Lasell on Saturday (Feb 14). He collected four rebounds and assists in that game as well. Daniels is currently amongst the top three in the GNAC in scoring as of Monday, February 16th.
Rookie Of The Week
Danny Adams, Emmanuel (Fr.)
Freshman Danny Adams averaged 12.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists while collecting 1.5 steals/blocks apiece in a 2-0 week for the Saints. Adams put up 10 points, six rebounds with two steals/blocks in their win over Dean before netting 15 points and dishing six assists over Mitchell in the victory.
WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Isaiah Earl, Albertus Magnus - Earl averaged 17 points and 13.5 rebounds with 3.5 blocks a game in a 2-0 week. Earl had 16 points, 19 rebounds, and four blocks in a win over Mitchell on Feb. 11 before collecting 18 points, eight rebounds, four assists, and three blocks in the Falcons' OT win over Lasell on Feb. 14.
RJ Mayfield, Elms - Mayfield averaged 20 points (62.5% from the floor) a game with 8.5 rebounds, 2.5 steals, and 1.5 blocks in a 1-1 week for the Blazers, highlighted by a 26 point, 10 rebound double-double in a tight 72-70 victory over Dean. He also added three steals and blocks apiece in the win. Had 14 and seven boards against Lasell.
Noah Beaudet, Emmanuel - Beaudet averaged 27 points (55.6% from the floor) in a 2-0 week for the Saints, highlighted by a 34 point performance on Emmanuel's senior day victory over Mitchell College. He scored 20 in their win against Dean as well earlier in the week.
Che Hanks, Lasell - Hanks averaged 23.5 points a game for the Lasers in a 1-1 week, highlighted by a 29 point performance against Albertus Magnus. He also scored 18 and had four assists and steals in their victory over Elms.
Jamir Harvey, Regis - Harvey had a strong performance in a 75–66 conference win at Colby-Sawyer on February 11. He scored 24 points in 31 minutes, shooting 9-of-14 (64.3%) from the field, 1-of-2 (50%) from three, and 5-of-6 (83.3%) from the free throw line. He also added 5 rebounds, 1 steal, and 1 block.
Izaiah Shaw-Glen, Rivier - Shaw-Glen averaged 24.5 ppg on 58.8% shooting, 9.0 reb/g, and 3.0 stl/g this week for the Raiders. He posted a career-high 37 points on 63.6% shooting and 10 rebounds (7 offensive) for a double-double in the double overtime loss to SJC and added 12 points and eight rebounds against NEC.
Remijo Wani, Saint Joseph's (Maine) - Wani averaged 26.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 2.0 steals while shooting 63.6% (21-33) from the field, 46.7% (7-15) from three-point range, and 75.0% (3-4) from the FT line in a 2-0 week. The junior guard erupted for a career-high 42 points off a 17-for-24 shooting performance with nine rebounds, four assists and two steals in a double-overtime victory at Rivier on Wednesday and tacked on 10 points, five boards, four assists and two steals in 23 minutes in a lopsided triumph over Colby-Sawyer on Saturday.
Deivone Tanksley Jr., University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) - Tanksley Jr. scored 17 points, grabbed eight rebounds, and collected five steals in USJ’s lone game of the week, an 83-56 road victory over Norwich on Saturday (Feb. 14). The win extended the Blue Jays’ winning streak to 12 games and improved their record to 17-6 overall and a perfect 10-0 in GNAC play entering the final week of the regular season. In 30 minutes against the Cadets, Tanksley Jr. shot 5-of-10 (50.0%) from the field, including 2-of-4 (50.0%) from three-point range, and went 5-of-6 (83.3%) from the free-throw line.
