Player Of The Week
Remijo Wani, Saint Joseph's (Maine) (Jr.)
Junior Remijo Wani led the Monks to a statement 84-61 win over the University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) on Saturday, scoring a game-high 30 points with eight rebounds and two assists to clinch the #1 seed for the GNAC Tournament. He opened the week with 23 points, a career-high 18 rebounds, and six assists in a 95-70 win at Regis College. In a 2-0 week, the junior guard averaged 26.5 points, 13.0 rebounds, and 4.0 assists while shooting 53.8% (21-for-39) from the field, 47.4% (9-for-19) from three-point range, and 100% (2-for-2) at the line.
Rookie Of The Week
Daylen Dalcour, Rivier (Fr.)
Freshman Daylen Dalcour averaged 17 points on 70% shooting with 8.5 rebounds in a 2-0 week for the Raiders. Dalcour recorded 19 points (7-for-9), nine rebounds, and two blocks in the 96-83 win over Elms before ending the week with 15 points (7-for-11) and eight rebounds in the 98-90 win over Emmanuel.
WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Ta'zhon Daniels, Albertus Magnus - Daniels averaged 22 points in 2-0 week to go with four assists and four steals per game. The senior had 24 points and two steals against Dean before collecting 20 points, four rebounds, four assists, and six steals in their regular season finale over Colby-Sawyer.
Ray Ford Jr., Albertus Magnus - Ford Jr. averaged 22.5 points, shooting 57.9% from three (11-for-19) and collecting 5.5 assists for the Falcons. The senior scored 25 and dished six assists in the win over Dean before putting up 20 and five in the next against Colby-Sawyer.
RJ Mayfield, Elms - Mayfield averaged 22 points a game with 6.0 rebounds for the Blazers, which included a 26 point, seven rebound effort against Rivier before he finished the week with 18 points, five rebounds, and two steals/blocks apiece against Norwich in which Mayfield also reached the 1,000 career points mark.
Mahari Guerrier, Emmanuel - Guerrier averaged 22.5 points a game and 6.5 rebounds in a 1-1 week as he collected 22 points, seven rebounds, four assists, and three steals in a win over Norwich before scoring 23 and grabbing six rebounds against Rivier.
Esmer Madesko, Lasell - Madesko averaged 15.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, two steals, and seven assists in a 2-0 week for Lasell, highlighted by 18 point, nine rebound, and six assist outing in 77-74 win over Mitchell.
Michel Ndayishimiye, Norwich - Ndayishimiye averaged 19.5 points and 7.0 rebounds per game during a 1-1 GNAC week, helping Norwich secure its third straight conference tournament appearance. The senior guard totaled 39 points across two contests, including 16 points and six rebounds at Emmanuel (Mass.) before erupting for 23 points in Saturday’s 95-57 Senior Day victory over Elms College.
Robenson Baguidy, Rivier - Baguidy averaged 29.5 ppg, 7.5 ast/g, 5.0 reb/g, and 2.5 stl/g in the 2-0 GNAC week for the Raiders. He recorded 31 points (62.5% shooting) with four rebounds and three assists in the 96-83 win over Elms and added 28 points (66.7% shooting) with 12 assists for the double-double in the 98-90 win over Emmanuel.
Friedrich Feldrappe, University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) - Feldrappe averaged 18.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game during a 1-1 GNAC week for the Blue Jays. Opened the week with 15 points, nine rebounds, and six assists in an 86-52 home victory over New England College on Tuesday (Feb. 17). Followed with 21 points, five rebounds, and one assist in an 84-61 setback in USJ’s regular-season finale at Saint Joseph’s College of Maine on Saturday (Feb. 21).
