Player Of The Week
Wani Donato, Saint Joseph's (Maine) (Sr.)
Senior forward Wani Donato came in the clutch for the Monks in a 82-81 overtime victory over previously undefeated Colby College, who is receiving votes in the D3Hoops.com top 25 poll. Donato poured in 27 points on 9-of-20 shooting, including 7-for-9 at the free throw line. With the Monks trailing by as many as 17 in the first half, he fueled the comeback, then sank what proved to be the game-winning free throw in the final minute. He showcased his two-way versatility throughout the night, adding four steals and four rebounds across 33 minutes.
Rookie Of The Week
Davis Mann, Saint Joseph's (Maine) (Fr.)
Freshman guard Davis Mann stepped up on both ends of the floor in the Monks’ 82–81 overtime victory over nationally receiving-votes Colby. Mann scored 15 points in 35 minutes, including a perfect 8–for-8 at the free-throw line while adding six rebounds, three steals, and a block.
WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Ta'zhon Daniels, Albertus Magnus - Scored 31 points in win over Purchase with four steals, shooting 52.2 from the field on Saturday. In win over Brooklyn, scored 12 points with six assists.
Ray Ford Jr., Albertus Magnus - Averaged 18.5 ppg during two games, including 22 points against Brooklyn to go with seven rebounds, six assists and three steals. Scored 15 points with four rebounds, four assists and three steals in win over Purchase.
Mahari Guerrier, Emmanuel - Scored 13 points and grabbed seven boards in a win over Westfield State. Had a 15 point, 10 rebound double-double in a setback at Brandeis.
Abdul Mansaray, Mitchell - Delivered a dominant performance in Mitchell’s narrow 91–86 loss to Anna Maria, finishing with 21 points on an exceptionally efficient 8-for-10 shooting effort. He added five free throws and paired his scoring with a commanding presence on the glass, pulling down a game-high 15 rebounds to record his first collegiate double-double. Mansaray also dished out three assists and collected a steal in 33 minutes for the Mariners.
Aamyr Sullivan, Regis - Averaged 19.0 points (14–29 FG), three assists, and 4.5 rebounds over a 1–1 week for the Pride. He opened the stretch with 13 points and two assists in a setback against Endicott before bouncing back with a career-best 25-point (8–12 FG), four-assist performance in the win over former GNAC foe Johnson & Wales on Thursday.
Izaiah Shaw-Glen, Rivier - Averaged a 21.5 ppg and 11.5 reb/g double-double in the 1-1 week for the Raiders. Recorded 19 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and two blocks against Salem St. (12/4). Added a 24 point, 13 rebound, three block performance in the 94-83 win over Bridgewater St. (12/6).
Deivone Tanksley Jr., University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) - Averaged a double-double with 14.5 points per game and 11.0 rebounds per game in a 1-1 week for the Blue Jays. Opened the week with 11 points and 12 rebounds in a four-point setback, 72-68, to nationally-ranked No. 1 Trinity at home on Wednesday night (12/3). Followed that up with 18 points and 10 boards in a 78-64 road victory at Yeshiva on Saturday night (12/6). Overall, scored 29 points in the two-game stretch, shooting 10-of-19 (52.6%) from the field, including 2-of-3 (66.7%) from three, and converted 7-of-8 (87.5%) attempts from the free-throw line.
