University of Southern Maine senior Brendon Croteau has captured the first GNAC Golfer of the Week award of the 2019 season.

GOLFER OF THE WEEK Brendon Croteau, Southern Maine (Sr., Lewiston, Maine) Croteau has helped USM get off to a strong start to the 2019 fall season. He tied for second with a 4-over par 75 in the Huskies' season-opening tri-match win over Saint Joseph's and UMaine Farmington. He backed that up by taking low medalist honors at the John Queenan Memorial to lead USM to the team title for the second straight year, and the fourth time in the last six seasons. He tied for eighth place (along with teammate Greg Kalagias) at the Bowdoin Invitational with a 36-hole total of 156 (+12). |

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK Trevor Flanagan, Saint Joseph's (Maine) (Sr., Monmouth, Maine) Flanagan opened his college career with a fourth-place finish, and a 76 card, in the USM tri-match on August 30, shot a 77 in the Queenan Memorial Tournament on September 3, and finished the first week of the season with a 155 (83-72), good for fourth overall, in the Bowdoin College Invitational on Saturday. His second-round 72 score at the Brunswick Golf Club was tied for the lowest card in the 15-team tourney. |
WEEK 1 HONOR ROLL
Ryan Sember, Albertus Magnus (Jr., Branford, Conn.) - Sember carded a team-best 77 (+5) to lead the Falcons to their first dual-match win since 2016, defeating Purchase (340-359) on Friday. He finished just five strokes shy of individual medalist honors, posting a 39 on the front nine and a 38 on the back nine. Friday's victory marks just the fourth win in the program's young history.
