MOUNT IDA'S FINK AND WIDELO TO SPEAK AT 2012 U.S. LACROSSE CONVENTION

Mount Ida College head men's lacrosse coach Andrew Fink and associate head coach Christopher Widelo will be heading into their fourth year as speakers at the U.S. Lacrosse National Convention, presented by Champion. He will join roughly 150 of lacrosse's top coaches, officials, trainers and administrators as presenters at the sport's largest educational and networking event, January 13-15, 2012, at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia.  Like the past three years, Fink's topic will be centralized on "Zone Defense".

"This is great national expose for the program," said head coach Fink.  "It's great to be able to vocalize the Mount Ida name at such a big venue."

"We've targeted leaders in lacrosse who are passionate about developing the game by sharing their knowledge with coaches and officials at the youth and high school levels," said Beth Porreca, director of events at U.S. Lacrosse.

Fink and the 2011 Mount Ida men's lacrosse program captured a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) championship this past 2011 season besting Lasell College 9-6 in dramatic fashion.
