Player of the Week
Ian Thomas (Barrington, R.I.), Junior, Attack, Norwich University
Thomas netted nine goals and eight assists for a team-high 17 points in a 3-0 week for the Cadets. He recorded a game-high four goals and four assists in Norwich's 14-5 win against Rivier. He also recorded four goals and three assits against Daniel Webster, and a goal and an assist against Saint Joseph's (ME). Thomas also added 13 ground balls on the week including eight on Saturday's road game at Saint Joseph's.
Goalie of the Week
David Walen (Longmeadow, Mass.), Sophomore, Goalie, Lasell College
Walen helped Lasell to a 1-1 week while posting a 5.31 goals against average. The sophomore goaltender made 20 saves in a 4-3 2OT victory over Emmanuel, then followed that performance up by making 16 save in a 9-8 3OT loss to Mount Ida. Walen's saved 75% of the shots he faced in the two games.
Rookie of the Week
Mike Lavery (Penacook, N.H.), Freshman, Attack, Norwich University
Lavery registered his first two starts of his career in a 3-0 week for the Cadets. He ranked second on the team in points with 11 from eight goals and three assists and posted a game-high seven-point performance of four goals and three assists in Norwich's 15-1 win against Daniel Webster. He added another four goals against in Norwich's 14-5 win against Rivier. Lavery also recorded seven ground balls and four caused turnovers on the week.
