Two hat tricks for Michael Ference helps Rivier to two victories

PLAYER OF THE WEEK Michael Ference (So., A - Salem, N.H.) - The Raiders continue to roll this week picking up another two GNAC wins. Ference played a key role in both games. Both contests he completed the hat trick and added two assists in one game and four in the other. Overall, Ference finished with a team high six goals along with six assists.

GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK Trey McCann, St. Joseph (Conn.) (Jr., GK - Simsbury, Conn.) - McCann stopped 29 of the 38 shots on goal he faced this week to post an impressive 76.3 save percentage, allowing just nine goals over a two-game span for a 4.50 goals allowed average in a pair of complete-game victories between the pipes. He opened the week by making a season-high 17 saves, including the 300th of his career, in an upset win at home over Dean Wednesday, 7-6. McCann followed that up with another terrific performance at home on Saturday versus Saint Joseph's College of Maine, making 12 more saves in an 8-3 triumph over the Monks.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK Chris Heitmiller, Rivier (Fr., M - Nashua, N.H.) - Heitmiller played a key role in the Raiders 2-0 week. He completed the hat trick in both games along with one assist per contest. Overall, Heitmiller finished with six goals, two assists, and four groundballs.

GNAC HONOR ROLL
Parker Campbell, Norwich (Sr., A - Rockaway, N.J.) - Campbell scored five goals and nine assists for a team high 14 points. On Wednesday against Anna Maria, Campbell dished out five assists and four ground balls while forcing a turnover. In Saturday's road contest against Albertus Magnus Campbell had five goals and four assists as the Cadets head into the final matchup of the season.
Randy Castle, Emmanuel (Jr., GK - Boxford, Mass.) - Castle helped the Saints go 2-0 on the week in GNAC play posting a 4.67 goals against average in Emmanuel victories over Regis and Anna Maria. The junior stopped 16 shots on the week, good for a 69.6 save percentage that included a 13-save game in the Saints 14-5 victory over the AMCATS on Saturday.
Ryan Castle, Emmanuel (Jr., A - Boxford, Mass.) - Castle powered the Saints to a pair of GNAC wins, leading the squad with 12 points over the two matches on nine goals and three assists. He opened the week with a game-high five points on four goals and one helper in EC's 16-2 win over Regis before a seven-point Saturday showing in the Saints' 14-5 victory over Anna Maria, tallying five goals and two assists. Castle also added five groundballs and one caused turnover in the 2-0 week for Emmanuel.
Sawyer Gagnon, Rivier (So., GK - Gorham, Maine) - Gagnon has continued to be a wall in net for the Raiders. This past week he picked up two more conference wins in net, saving 35 shots on net for a solid 63.6 save percentage. His best game came against JWU, saving 19 shots and finishing with a 65.5 save percentage.
