PLAYER OF THE WEEK Aidan Bagley, Johnson & Wales (Gr., M) Johnson & Wales midfielder Aidan Bagley scored two goals in two games, both coming from penalty kicks, to help the Wildcats go 2-0 on the week. On Wednesday (Sep. 4), Bagley had the game tying goal against Worcester State. This shifted the momentum of the game and the Wildcats went on to win 3-1. In their opening conference match against Regis, Bagley scored another penalty kick which ended up being the game-winning goal. The Wildcats triumphed in their first conference game of the season with a 2-0 victory. Aidan Bagley is currently tied for second on the team with both goals (two) and points (four). |

GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK Valter Santiago, Anna Maria (Gr., GK) Graduate goalkeeper Valter Santiago played all 180:00 minutes in net for the Amcats this past week while only allowing one goal and recording 15 total saves. On Tuesday (Sep. 3), Santiago recorded his second shutout of the season while adding six saves against Westfield State. Then, on Saturday (Sep. 7) to open up conference play, he secured another nine more saves in a 2-1 win against Norwich. The Amcats went 2-0 this past week and Santiago is currently first in the GNAC for saves (24), save pct (.960), and goals-against average (0.40). |

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK Chris Alcon, Regis (Fy., GK) First-year Goalkeeper Chris Alcon made his collegiate debut this past week for the Pride. On Wednesday (Sep. 4), he started against Salem State, recording seven saves and an .875 save percentage in a 1-1 tie. He made four crucial saves in the second half to keep the game level. On Saturday (Sep. 7), he played the second half against GNAC defending champions Johnson and Wales, making three saves and securing a clean sheet. |
WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Kyle Brocker, Anna Maria - Scored both goals in the first conference game of the season against Norwich, leading to a 2-1 victory.
Sean Furtek, Johnson & Wales - Helped the team go 2-0 on the week while only allowing one goal. Recorded nine toal saves in 180:00 minutes of play.
Thomas Hennessey, Rivier - Notched one goal and one assist in a 4-0 shutout win vs. Plymouth State. This marked Rivier's first home opnener win since 2015.
Arthur Dias - In his collegiate debut, he recorded one assist and in the following game, he scored two goals and added one assist.
Dane Stephens, Saint Joseph (Conn.) - Scored two goals against Bridgewater State and also recorded one assist against a strong Wheaton (Mass.) team.
