MSWIMDIVE: Norwich Selected To Finish First In 2026 Men's Pre-Championship Poll
WINTHROP, Mass. – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving Championships will take place next weekend at the Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) Sports and Recreation Center in Worcester, Massachusetts. Five men's and seven women's swimming and diving teams will compete in the three-day event that takes place from Friday, Feb. 6 to Sunday, Feb. 8.
Each day of the meet will be broken into a morning and evening session with preliminary heats beginning at 10 a.m. each day. Diving events will follow prelims with finals scheduled to begin around 6 p.m (5 p.m. on Sunday).
For those who are unable to attend this weekend's Championships, the Conference has partnered with Abreu Media Productions to provide a live stream for each session of the event. The stream can be viewed on the GNAC YouTube channel.
Norwich comes into this year's championships as the reigning GNAC Champions and the Cadets were also picked as the favorites to four-peat heading into the 2026 event in the Pre-Championship Coaches Polls, which were conducted last week. They earned 25 points and all five first place votes in this years pre-championship poll.
Following behind them is the University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) as the Blue Jays placed second in the poll with 20 total points. Regis College comes in the third spot with 15 points while Elms came in fourth with 10 and Albertus Magnus fills out the final spot with five points.
