Swimmer Of The Week
Drew Bylow, Norwich (So.)
Sophomore Drew Bylow powered Norwich to a fourth-place finish at the North Country Invitational with a dynamic all-around showing, racking up three individual top-three finishes and swimming on all four relay squads. The sophomore earned an individual win in the 200-yard IM (2:00.73), placed second in the 100 backstroke (54.79), and took third in the 200 back (2:00.64). He also anchored the Cadets' third-place 400 freestyle relay and competed in the 400 medley, 200 medley, and 200 free relays, all of which placed within the top five in their events.
Diver Of The Week
Michael Zammuto, Regis (Sr.)
Senior Michael Zammuto earned an event win in the one-meter 11 dive program in friday night's swim meet with a career-high 321.05 points to help the Pride to a win over Elms.
Rookie Of The Week
Gavin Olsen, Regis (Fr.)
Freshman Gavin Olsen opened the night with a commanding victory in the 1000 freestyle, taking the top spot in 11:48.61, more than 50 seconds ahead of the field.
WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Jose Avila, Elms - Collected a third place finish in the Men's 100-Yard Butterfly (1:04.58), fourth place in the Men's 50-Yard Freestyle (25.62), and runner-up in the Men's 100-Yard Freestyle (53.95).
Andrew Clark, Norwich - Showcased his versatility and consistency at the North Country Invitational, placing second in the 200-yard butterfly (1:57.25) and fifth in the 100 fly (54.09) while swimming key legs in all four relay events. The junior helped Norwich to top-five finishes in the 200 medley, 200 free, and 400 free relays, including a third-place finish in the 400 free relay.
Adrian Riendeau, Norwich - Turned in a strong two-day showing for the Cadets, securing third in the 400-yard IM (4:30.75), seventh in the 200-yard IM (2:06.48), sixth in the 200-yard backstroke (2:05.61), and contributing to all four Norwich relays. The senior swam legs in the 400 medley, 200 medley, 200 freestyle, and 400 freestyle relays, including a third-place effort in the 400 free and a fourth-place showing in the 200 medley.
Gabe Wettig, Norwich - Delivered a standout weekend for the Cadets at the North Country Invitational, posting a pair of fourth-place individual finishes while contributing to three top-five relays. The sophomore took fourth in both the 200-yard IM (2:05.49) and the 400 IM (4:31.21), while also swimming on Norwich’s third-place 400 freestyle relay, fourth-place 200 freestyle relay, and fifth-place 400 medley relay teams. Wettig earned points in six of his events to help Norwich finish fourth overall.
Ryan Kim, Regis - In their win over Elms Friday night, the Pride saw one of their strongest swims come from senior Kim, who captured first place in the 100 breaststroke with a winning time of 1:05.09. He also posted a personal-best 28.61 in the 50 breast, moving him into a tie for fourth all-time in program history. Kim continued his impressive night with another personal best in the 100 IM, finishing second in 57.78, a time that now ranks him fifth all-time at Regis.
