GNAC Indoor Track & Field Report: Week 4
Regis and Saint Joseph's of Maine took home the six GNAC weekly awards on Monday afternoon, headlined by the Pride's Ashleigh Kelley and her 5:16.06 mile time at the Suffolk Ice Breaker Invitational.

MEN'S TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK Benjamin Happenny, Regis (So., Woonsocket, R.I.) - At the Suffolk Ice Breaker Invitational Saturday at The TRACK at New Balance, Benjamin Happenny posted a time of 2:07.54 in the 800 meter run, the best time in the GNAC so far this season. He finished 17th overall among a field that included Division I schools Boston College, Dartmouth, and UMass Lowell as well as top clubs and Division III programs. |

WOMEN'S TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK Ashleigh Kelley, Regis (Sr., Stoneham, Mass.) - At the Suffolk Ice Breaker Invitational Saturday held at The TRACK at New Balance, Ashleigh Kelley rewrote her own school record in the one mile run, cutting 7.77 seconds off the previous standard. She completed the race in 5:16.06, finishing eighth overall but second among Division III competitors and qualifying for the New England Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships Feb. 24-25. |

MEN'S FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK Wesley Hundley, Saint Joseph's (Maine) (Sr., Kennebunk, Maine) - Hundley posted an 11.11m effort and placed 17th overall in the Shot Put at the Suffolk University Ice Breaker Invitational on Saturday. His performance was the top heave among D3 athletes in the event, which featured a handful of D1 programs, and the best Shot Put effort in the GNAC so far this season |
