OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Isaac Davies, Colby-Sawyer (So, MB - Hinesburg, Vt.) - Davies had a career-day for the Chargers on Saturday, netting 39 kills over two matches with a .292 kill percentage. He started the day with a 13-kill, three-service ace performance before ending the day with a career-high 26 kills against Dean, averaging 4.88 kills and 2.13 digs per set overall.

 

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Marcello Cappuccio, Regis (Mass.) 
 (Sr., DS - Scotch Plains, N.J.) - Cappuccio made history last Thursday in helping Regis earn its first conference victory of the season. After collecting a match-high 10 digs and making just one reception error last Tuesday against Nichols, he set the Pride single-match digs record with 27 digs in Regis's five-set victory over Emerson. It is Cappuccio's third consecutive match with double digit digs as he averaged 4.63 per set on the week.

SETTER OF THE WEEK

Tyrell Bucasas, Regis (Mass.) (So., S - Waialua, Hawaii) - Bucasas has settled in as Regis's main setter this season. After collecting 21 assists and six digs last Tuesday against Nichols, he finished with career-high totals across the board in Thursday's five-set victory over Emerson, collecting 44 assists, nine digs, and five kills on seven attack attempts for a .714 hitting percentage. The 44 assists are tied for the eighth-most in a single match in program history. 

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Austin Ponsness, Colby-Sawyer (Jr, MB - Queen Creek, Ariz.) - Ponsness averaged 3.00 kills, 0.38 aces, 2.25 digs and 0.75 blocks per set while hitting .210 in a trimatch split at NVU-Johnson (L) with Dean (W). 

GNAC HONOR ROLL

Brenden Joyce, Lasell (Senior, OPP) - Joyce averaged 2.86 kills, 2.71 digs, and 0.71 blocks per set after going 1-1 in a Saturday trimatch at Vassar (L) with Misericordia (W). 

Joseph Perez, Regis (Mass.) (Jr., OH - Miami, Fla.) - Perez led the Pride offensively over the past week, starting with nine kills and a .208 hitting percentage last Tuesday against Nichols. Last Thursday at Emerson, he battled throughout the five-set contest, finishing with a career-high 16 kills. Perez also collected a season-high eight digs and two total blocks, plus he made just one reception error in 27 chances.
