GNAC Men's Volleyball Report: Week 11
Lasell swept all four GNAC weekly awards after posting a perfect 4-0 record last week, including a big win over rival Rivier.

CO-OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK Theo Zaharewicz, Lasell (Sophomore, OH - Bethany, Conn.) - Zaharewicz averaged 3.77 kills per set on a .389 hitting percentage in a perfect 4-0 week of GNAC play, including a 3-0 sweep against nationally-ranked Rivier. After registering 14, four and 14 kills in wins over Emerson, Regis and Emmanuel, respectively, he hit .448 en route to 17 kills (5.67 per set) in Saturday's victory over the Raiders. |

CO-OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK Joseph Perez, Regis (Mass.) (Jr., OH - Miami, Fla.) - Perez enjoyed another stellar week, capped off by a record-setting performance, as he averaged 5.20 kills, 1.60 digs and 0.90 blocks per set while hitting .318. On Tuesday at Dean, he collected 13 kills, seven digs, and four total blocks, plus he hit .565 as he did not make an attack error in 23 attempts. On Wednesday against Lasell, he collected 12 kills and four digs, plus he made just one reception error in 21 chances. On Saturday against Emerson, he broke the Regis single-match record for kills with 27 kills, hitting .321 in the match. Perez also earned three service aces, five digs, and four total blocks. Perez now leads the GNAC in total kills (256) and kills per set (3.46). |

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK Jan Baranowski, Lasell (Senior, MB - Wheeling, Ill.) - The senior averaged 0.50 digs and 1.42 blocks per set in a 4-0 week of GNAC play. He also averaged 1.83 kills per set on a stellar .410 hitting percentages for the Lasers. |

SETTER OF THE WEEK Jesus Garcia, Lasell (Senior, S - Honolulu, Hawaii) - Garcia averaged 10.00 assists and 1.85 digs per set in a 4-0 week, including 79 combined helpers across two huge GNAC wins over Emmanuel and Rivier on Senior Day. |

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK Jasper Schultz, Lasell (Freshman, OH - Winchester, Mass.) - The rookie hit .300 in a 4-for-4 week for the Lasers. |
GNAC HONOR ROLL
Collin Liedke, Elms (Senior, L/DS - Newington, Conn.) - Liedke averaged 4.33 digs per set in a 2-2 week, registering double-digit digs in all four contests.
Neiko Pittman, Emerson (Junior, OH - Santa Clarita, Calif.) - Pittman put up career-high numbers on the offensive end for Emerson to help lead the Lions to a 2-1 week in GNAC action. The junior registered a total of 35 kills to average 3.18 kills per set alongside five assists and two aces. Within a trig-match sweep on Saturday, Pittman picked up his 12th and 13th matches with 10+ kills for a combined 29 on the day. In a 3-0 win over Colby Sawyer, the junior committed no errors on his 20 attack attempts and finished the day with a career-high .700 hit percentage.
Jyles Amirault, Emmanuel (Mass.) (So, OH - Andover, Mass.) - Amirault averaged 3.13 kills (.224) and 2.50 digs in a three-match week for the Saints.
Jack Normandin, Rivier (Gr., OH - Clifton Park, N.Y.) - Normandin has been making an impact since returning to the lineup, averaging 3.56 kills while hitting .221. He also contributed 11 digs and three assists.
Tyrell Bucasas, Regis (Mass.) (So., S - Waialua, Hawaii) - Bucasas averaged over eight assists per set in four conference matches over the past week. Playing just two sets at Dean Tuesday, he earned 18 assists and was a perfect 3-for-3 on attack attempts. Wednesday against Lasell, he finished with 21 assists and eight digs. Saturday against Emerson, he notched his fourth double-double of the season with 42 assists, the fourth time he has surpassed 40 assists in a match, and a career-high 20 digs. He played the first set against Colby-Sawyer and collected eight assists in that contest.
