Offensive Player Of The Week
Nick Uschmann, Elms (Jr.)
Junior Nick Uschmann recorded 38 total kills, averaging 3.80 kills per set while maintaining an efficient .394 hitting percentage. He delivered a standout performance against Dean College with a season-high 18 kills and an impressive .467 hitting percentage in conference play. Across all matches, he remained a consistent offensive threat, producing double-digit kills and averaging 4.0 points per set, solidifying her role as a key contributor to the team’s offense. Uschmann chipped in 11 kills against No. 1 nationally-ranked Springfield College early on in the week.
Defensive Player/Rookie Of The Week
Haden Houatchanthara, Regis (Fr.)
Freshman Haden Houatchanthara delivered a strong defensive performance across two matches, totaling 29 digs and averaging 4.14 digs per set while maintaining excellent consistency in serve receive. He recorded 46 total receptions with an outstanding .957 reception percentage, highlighted by a perfect 17-for-17 performance against Dean College. He followed that with 14 digs and a .931 reception percentage against Emmanuel, continuing to anchor the back row. Overall, his reliability and efficiency in both digging and serve receive played a key role in stabilizing the team’s defense throughout the week.
Setter Of The Week
Evan Shank, Regis (Jr.)
Junior Evan Shank led the offense effectively in a 1-1 week, totaling 69 assists and averaging 9.86 assists per set. He opened with 27 assists (9.0 a/s) and five digs in a sweep over Dean College, then followed with a strong all-around performance against Emmanuel, recording 42 assists (10.50 a/s) while adding five kills on a .364 hitting percentage, nine digs, and two blocks. Across both matches, he contributed 14 digs (2.00 per set) and showed versatility beyond setting, consistently facilitating the offense while also impacting the game defensively and at the net.
WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Mason Rua, Dean - Rua averaged 3.00 digs per set (21 total), highlighted from a 16 dig outing against Elms.
Chris Bousquet, Elms - Bousquet averaged 2.90 digs per set (29 total), highlighted by a 14 dig performance in win over Dean.
Trey Guest, Emmanuel - Guest totaled 23 kills on the week, highlighted by a 18 kill performance in four-set win over Regis.
Branch Barnes, Lasell - Barnes totaled 28 assists, 14 digs, and five total blocks in a 2-0 week for the Lasers.
Teddy Teraszkiewicz, Lasell - Teraszkiewicz notched 20 kills on .342%, including 12 in a four-set win over Rivier.
Brandon Valdes, Regis - Valdes turned in a strong two-match stretch for the Pride, totaling 24 kills (3.43 kills per set). He opened the week with eight kills in a straight-set win over Dean, adding two total blocks and 10.5 points. Valdes followed with a standout performance against Emmanuel, recording a team-high 16 kills on a .308 hitting percentage while contributing across the board with 31 receptions, three digs, and 17.5 points. Across the week, Valdes also added four aces, six digs, and three total blocks.
