Offensive Player Of The Week
Jasper Schultz, Lasell (Sr.)
Senior Jasper Schultz started his senior campaign for the RV Lasers as he guided Lasell to a 2-1 week, including a victory over RV Nazareth. Schultz notched 21 kills in a four set victory over SUNY Poly on .341% before collecting seven against Nazareth in their sweep victory. The senior finished with four kills against no. 3 nationally-ranked Juniata in a setback, ending his week with 32 kills while adding 13 digs defensively (1.3 d/s).
Defensive Player Of The Week
Tyler Dickinson, Rivier (Jr.)
Junior Tyler Dickinson delivered 18 kills (1.64 k/s) on an impressive .533 hitting percentage and registered 14 total blocks (five solo, 1.27 b/s). Against RV Nazareth, he produced seven kills (2.33 k/s) on .700 hitting, added two aces, and contributed five blocks before collecting three blocks against #3 Juniata. Then, he matched his career best with 11 kills (2.2 k/s) and hit .600 in the reverse-sweep win over SUNY Poly.
Setter Of The Week
Evan Shank, Regis (Mass.) (Jr.)
Junior Evan Shank powered the offense in Regis' straight-sets victory over Elms on January 9, distributing 33 assists to average an impressive 11.0 assists per set. The third-year setter efficiently controlled the tempo throughout the match, helping guide the Pride to a dominant non-conference win.
Rookie of the Week
Micah Nakasato, Lasell (Fr.)
Across a three-match stretch, Freshman Micah Nakasato anchored the back row and contributed steadily to the Lasers’ offense, totaling 30 assists (3.00 a/s) and 13 digs (1.30 d/s). Nakasato posted 11 digs in a four-set win over SUNY Poly, added 9 assists and 4 digs against nationally ranked Nazareth, and closed the trip with another 9 assists versus Juniata.
WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Ryan Mesnik, Lasell - Totaled 10 kills with a perfect 1.000 serve-receive rating and averaged 2.10 digs per set (21 digs). He also added five assists (0.50 a/s) while playing all-around steady back row defense for the Lasers.
Kenji Clark, Rivier - Totaled 16 kills (1.45 k/s) with a .379 hitting percentage, two service aces and 18.5 total points this weekend. Recorded 14 kills (2.80 k/s) with two services aces in the 3-2 reverse sweep victory over SUNY Poly.
