Offensive Player Of The Week
Nick Uschmann, Elms (Jr.)
Across three straight-match sweep victories to open the season, junior Nick Uschmann totaled 38 kills (4.75/set) on 64 swings for a .469 hitting percentage, adding seven service aces (0.88/set) and 12 digs (1.50/set). He also contributed 11 total blocks (1.38/set) and finished with 51.0 points (6.38/set). His strongest outing came in the season opener at Purchase, where he posted 16 kills on .414 hitting with six total blocks and 20.5 points. He followed with 15 kills on .444 hitting and four aces vs. Lehman, then closed the week with seven kills while hitting .750 against Vermont State Johnson.
Defensive Player Of The Week
Chris Bousquet, Elms (Fr.)
Freshman Chris Bousquet anchored the back row during a 3–0 opening week, logging 38 digs (4.22/set) with a .971 serve-receive percentage on 35 attempts. He also added six assists (0.67/set) and committed just one reception error across nine sets played. He posted double-digit digs in all three matches, highlighted by 17 digs at Purchase in the opener and another 12 digs vs. Lehman later that day. He closed the stretch with nine digs and a .909 receive percentage against Vermont State Johnson.
Setter and Rookie Of The Week
David Dzhenzherukha, Elms (Fr.)
Freshman David Dzhenzherukha powered the Blazers offense to three straight-set wins to open the season, averaging 10.89 assists per set across nine sets. He finished the week with 98 assists, five service aces (0.56/set), four total blocks, 10 digs, and four kills while hitting .250. He recorded 33 assists at Purchase, dished out a week-best 35 vs. Lehman, and capped the stretch with 30 assists against Vermont State Johnson.
WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
John Bellafronte, Elms - Bellafronte totaled 21 kills across three straight sweeps on a .563 hitting percentage and collected eight total blocks.
Ryan Mesnik, Lasell - Mesnik totaled 12 digs in a four set victory over Adrian.
Thomas McCarthy, Regis - McCarthy totaled 23 digs (3.83 d/s) with a .867 reception percentage on 30 attempts.
Evan Shank, Regis - Shank totaled 84 assists in the Prides 3-0 week. Against Curry, he posted a 48 assist performance in a five set win. He also contributed offensively with 5 kills, and 13 digs from the back row.
Alem Dubcak, Wentworth - Dubcak led #11 ranked Wentworth to a sweep over RV Nichols with 13 kills on a .346% hitting percentage.
