Offensive Player Of The Week
Trey Guest, Emmanuel (Sr.)
Senior Trey Guest totaled 69 kills across 15 sets (4.60 k/s) on a .277% attack percentage with 29 digs (1.93 d/s), and 10 total blocks (0.67 b/s) to guide the Saints to a 2-2 week. Guest had 13 kills and eight digs against #17 ranked MIT before collecting 20 kills, six digs, and three blocks against Endicott. The senior closed out the week with 14 kills, seven digs, and three blocks in a sweep over Bard and followed with 22 kills and eight digs in a win over Elms.
Defensive Player Of The Week
Chris Bousquet, Elms (Fr.)
Freshman Chris Bousquet anchored the back row during a 2–1 week, logging 58 digs (4.46/set) with a .934 serve-receive percentage on 61 attempts. Bosquet had 10 digs in a four-set victory over Sage before collecting 29 in a five-set thrilling victory over Bard. The freshman closed his week out with 19 digs in a four-set setback against Emmanuel.
Setter Of The Week
Tye Barrett, Emmanuel (Fr.)
Freshman Tye Barrett facilitated the Saints offense with 113 assists on the week, averaging 8.07 assists per set across four matches. Barrett had 19 assists against #17 nationally-ranked MIT and collected 30 against Endicott. The freshman ended the week in two tri-match victories with 18 assists in only two sets of a sweep over Bard before finishing with 46 in a four set victory over Elms.
Rookie Of The Week
Branch Barnes, Lasell (Fr.)
Freshman Branch Barnes displayed all around versatility for Lasell in a 2-0 week as the freshman totaled 15 kills (1.88 k/s), 27 assists (3.38 a/s), 11 digs (1.38 d/s), and 11 total blocks (1.38 b/s). Barnes put up eight kills, 14 assists, 11 digs, and six blocks in a five-setter over American International College before following up with seven kills, 13 assists, four digs, and five blocks in the sweep over Curry.
WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Hunter Ladouceur, Elms - Ladouceur collected 100 assists across 13 sets (7.69 a/s) and 25 digs (1.92 d/s) to help the Blazers to a 2-1 week. He put up 13 assists in a win over Sage and then put up 50 assists and 14 digs in a five-set win over Bard before finishing with 37 assists and 10 digs in a setback to Emmanuel.
Nick Uschmann, Elms - Uschmann totaled 45 kills across three matches on a .308 hitting percentage and collected 24 digs with seven total blocks.
Ryan Chen, Emerson - Chen engineered a Lions attack that hit .375 in a season-opening 3-0 win over Fisher College on Friday night. He distributed 30 assists to go with four service aces, a dig and two block assists.
Nick Sciabica, Emmanuel - Sciabica collected 39 digs on the week for Emmanuel, averaging 2.60 per set, which was highlighted by a 21 dig performance in a win over Elms.
Paten Buckwalter, Lasell - Buckwalter totaled 12 blocks on the week and 14 kills for the Lasers. Had six kills and seven blocks against American International College (AIC) before collecting eight kills and five blocks in a win over Curry.
Jasper Schultz, Lasell - Schultz collected 26 kills on .488% and 10 digs in a 2-0 week for Lasell. He totaled 14 kills and six digs against AIC before having 12 kills in a sweep over Curry.
Evan Shank, Regis - Shank totaled 64 assists over eight sets, averaging 8.00 assists per set, while helping the offense hit .385 when he attacked. The junior recorded 38 assists (9.50 per set) against SUNY Potsdam, adding four kills on .500 hitting, three digs, and solid work at the service line. He followed that performance with 26 assists versus #16 ranked Buffalo State, along with eight digs and a block assist.
