Offensive Player Of The Week
John Bellafronte, Elms (Jr.)
Junior John Bellafronte totaled 36 kills (4.00 per set) on .395 hitting across two victories, adding 14 digs and two blocks while posting a strong .973 reception percentage on 73 attempts. He opened the week with 15 kills and five digs in a five-set win at Sage, then erupted for 21 kills on .514 hitting with nine digs in a four-set victory over King’s (PA).
Defensive Player Of The Week
Thomas McCarthy, Regis (Jr.)
Junior Thomas McCarthy anchored the back line across four matches, totaling 43 digs (2.39 per set) and 101 receptions with a .960 reception percentage. He recorded 13 digs in a win over Emerson and followed with 11 digs and 30 perfect receptions at Hunter. McCarthy added 38 receptions and eight digs in a five-set battle at Baruch before closing the week with 11 digs in a five-set victory at St. Joseph’s (Brooklyn), providing steady ball control throughout the stretch.
Setter Of The Week
Evan Shank, Regis (Jr.)
Junior Evan Shank turned in a strong all-around performance across three matches, totaling 113 assists (9.42 per set) while adding 11 kills on .310 hitting, 16 digs, 10 service aces, and three total blocks. He highlighted the week by tying the program’s single-match record with 53 assists in a five-set battle at Baruch, running the offense efficiently in extended play. Shank opened the stretch with 26 assists and four aces in a win over Emerson, followed by 34 assists at Hunter, before capping the week with his record-tying performance against Baruch.
Rookie Of The Week
Chris Bousquet, Elms (Fr.)
Freshman Chris Bousquet anchored the back row in two victories, totaling 45 digs (5.00 per set) while posting an outstanding .984 reception percentage on 61 serve-receive attempts. He recorded 15 digs in a five-set win at Sage, then erupted for 30 digs (7.50 per set) in a four-set victory over King’s (PA), providing elite defensive stability throughout the week.
WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Travis Johnson, Dean College - Johnson recorded 10 combined blocks and 16 digs across three matches, totaling 18 kills (1.64 k/s) and 31 assists. Posted a season-high 10 digs against Curry and added eight blocks in a five-set battle with King’s (PA), finishing the week with 10 total blocks and 1.45 digs per set overall.
Hunter Ladouceur, Elms - Ladouceur totaled 73 assists in a 2-0 week (9.13 per set), including 55 in a four set win over King's (PA).
Cash Muse, Emerson - Muse averaged 1.30 blocks and 1.40 kills per set over three matches, finishing with 22.5 points for the Lions. He totaled eight kills on .538 hitting with five block assists in a sweep of Fisher, added five kills and five blocks (three solo) at Regis, and capped the week with three blocks against No. 19 MIT.
Trey Guest, Emmanuel - Guest collected 20 kills in a three-set setback to no. 11 ranked Wentworth in a conference-opener, boasting a .417% percentage in the process.
Adam Bonica, Regis - Bonica totaled 49 kills (3.06 per set) on .295 hitting over four matches, adding 22 digs, eight aces, and five blocks. He highlighted the week with 14-kill performances at Hunter and Baruch and closed with 13 kills and a season-high six aces in a five-set win at St. Joseph’s (Brooklyn).
Alem Dubcak, Wentworth - Dubcak averaged 3.67 kills per set (22 total) on .265%, collecting 11 each against no.1 ranked Springfield and in a conference win over Emmanuel.
Brayden Green, Wentworth - Green dished out 54 assists (9.00 per set) in a 1-1 week for the #11 Leopards. He dished out 35 in a conference win over Emmanuel before collecting 19 against no. 1 ranked Springfield.
