Offensive Player Of The Week
Luke McQuaid, Wentworth (So.)
Sophomore Luke McQuaid totaled 20 kills (3.33 k/s) while hitting .417 across two straight-set wins for the #12 nationally-ranked Leopards, adding three service aces, seven digs, and three blocks. McQuaid opened the week with 11 kills and three blocks in a sweep of Rivier, then followed with nine kills on .500 hitting in a win over Wheaton (Mass.).
Defensive Player/Rookie Of The Week
Chris Bousquet, Elms (Fr.)
Freshman Chris Bousquet anchored the back row over two matches, compiling 19 digs (3.17 per set) while successfully handling 38 receptions at a .974 reception percentage. Opened the week with seven digs and 22 receptions at #20 Ranked Endicott, then delivered a match-high 12 digs against #15 ranked MIT, adding an assist and committing just one reception error across six sets.
Setter Of The Week
Evan Shank, Regis (Jr.)
Junior Evan Shank directed the Pride to a 3-0 sweep of Curry, dishing out 37 of the team’s 39 assists while averaging 12.33 assists per set. He added six digs and two kills in the victory. The junior continues to pace the GNAC with 479 total assists and 9.04 assists per set on the season.
WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Jasper Schultz, Lasell - Schultz collected 11 kills on a .321% in a setback to #1 nationally-ranked Springfield College.
Adam Bonica, Regis - Bonica powered the Pride to a sweep of Curry College, leading the team with 16 kills (5.33 per set) while hitting .297 and totaling 17.5 points. He added three digs and two blocks in the victory, accounting for a match-high offensive output across the three-set win.
Tyler Dickinson, Rivier - Dickinson totaled 14 kills (2.33 per set) on a blistering .636 hitting percentage with three blocks during a 1-1 week for the Raiders. Posted six kills on .545 hitting at Wentworth before erupting for eight kills on .727 hitting in a sweep of Wheaton (Mass.), finishing the week without an attack error.
