Offensive Player Of The Week
Trey Guest, Emmanuel (Sr.)
Senior Trey Guest turned in a strong two-match stretch with 33 kills (4.71 per set) and a .231 hitting percentage, totaling 42.0 points. Guest posted nine kills and two aces against Rivier before erupting for 24 kills (6.00 per set) with five aces, nine digs, and three blocks in a four-set win over Elms.
Defensive Player Of The Week
Tyler Dickinson, Rivier (Jr.)
Junior Tyler Dickinson anchored the net in a 2-0 week for the Raiders, totaling nine blocks (1.50 per set) while hitting an efficient .464 with 16 kills. Dickinson recorded six blocks (one solo, five assists) and nine kills on .750 hitting against Emmanuel, then added seven kills and three blocks in a sweep of Dean.
Setter Of The Week
Justin Barish, Rivier (Jr.)
Junior Justin Barish directed the offense in a 2-0 week for the Raiders, totaling 59 assists (9.83 per set) while adding 12 digs (2.00 per set) and five blocks. Barish opened with 32 assists, five digs, and three block assists in a sweep of Emmanuel, then followed with 27 assists, seven digs, and two blocks (one solo) in a sweep over Dean.
Rookie Of The Week
Branch Barnes, Lasell (Fr.)
Freshman Branch Barnes turned in a well-rounded performance across two sweeps, totaling 15 kills (2.50 per set) on an efficient .433 hitting while dishing out 43 assists (7.17 per set) for the #19 ranked Lasers. Barnes added 11 digs, four blocks, and two service aces, including an 11-kill, 21-assist outing against Wheaton (Mass.) and 22 assists in a win at #15 MIT.
WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Mason Rua, Dean - Rua led the defensive effort with 13 digs (4.33 per set) in a three-set match at Rivier, while handling 16 receptions at a .875 clip.
Chris Bousquet, Elms - Bousquet anchored the back row over two matches, totaling 31 digs (4.43 per set) while posting a .951 reception percentage on 41 attempts. Recorded four digs and 18 receptions against Emerson before erupting for 27 digs in a four-set match versus Emmanuel.
Mario Cielo-Salinas, Emerson - Cielo-Salinas averaged 3.50 kills, 0.17 service aces, 1.33 digs and 0.17 blocks per set while scoring a team-high 22.5 points over the Lions two matches. He delivered ten kills with five digs, an ace and block assist to score 11.5 points against Elms on Tuesday. Led Emerson with 11 kills and three digs to score 11.0 points against Regis on Saturday.
Tye Barrett, Emmanuel - Barrett totaled 58 assists (8.29 per set) and 13 digs (1.86 per set) in a 1-1 week, highlighted by a 41 assist, 12 dig performance in the regular season finale victory against Elms.
Remy Cahalan, Lasell - Cahalan had 20 kills on a .576% attack percentage, highlighted by a 11-kill performance over #15 MIT.
Trystan Maloney, Lasell - Maloney totaled 55 assists on the week, including 31 in a sweep over Regis.
Ryan Mesnik, Lasell - Mesnik averaged 3.67 digs per set in two appearances against Regis and MIT, totaling 11 each match.
Evan Shank, Regis - Shank paced the Pride offense with 56 assists (9.33 per set) over two matches, including 30 in a sweep of Emerson. He added 10 digs and four total blocks while contributing on both sides of the ball. Following the Emerson match, Shank also set a new single-season program record with 884 assists.
Brandon Valdes, Regis - Valdes led the Pride offense with 18 kills (3.00 per set) over two matches while hitting an efficient .304. He recorded nine kills in each match, including a .300 effort in a sweep of Emerson, and added 10 digs while handling all 32 receptions without an error.
