PLAYER OF THE WEEK Shannon McMahon, Simmons (Senior, C - El Cajon, Calif.) - McMahon went 2-for-3 with a double and walk in a nail-biting one-run game against Husson on Sunday. Additionally, she controlled the game behind the plate for classmate and right-hander Maddie Castigliego, who registered seven strikeouts.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK Maddie Castigliego, Simmons (Senior, P - Bristol, R.I.) - The right-hander opened the 2022 season by registering seven strikeouts (one walk) against Husson on Sunday afternoon in a 1-0 setback. The R.I. native was efficient in the circle, tossing 89 pitches – 62 of them for strikes – while allowing only one unearned run and scattering six hits.
