JWU's Jill Pulek and a pair of Sharks from Simmons took home Week 6 honors on Monday.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK Jill Pulek, Johnson & Wales (RI) (Sr., IF - Chesire, Conn.) - In five games this past week, Pulek helped the Wildcats to four victories by batting .500 on the week with a .611 on base percentage and a 1.143 slugging percentage. Pulek his three home runs, all coming in a doubleheader against Elms on Saturday where the Wildcats swept the GNAC opponent. In game 2, she went 3 for 3 with 2 home runs. She finished the week with seven RBIs, seven hits, and six runs scored. |

PITCHER OF THE WEEK Maddie Castigliego, Simmons (Senior, P - Bristol, R.I.) - Castigliego posted a 2-0 record with a 1.75 ERA and 17 strikeouts (8-to-1 strikeout-to-walk ration) in the circle to lead Simmons to a 2-0 week and push its win-streak to six games. In game one against the Amcats Saturday morning, she tossed a three-hitter, while striking out eight opposing batters, then topped that in game two where she tied her career single-game high, fanning nine Amcats, including registered her 200th career "K." |

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK Jordyn Rubin, Simmons (First-Year, OF - Lewiston, Maine) - Rubin helped guide Simmons to a 2-0 week, which included a sweep of Anna Maria College Saturday afternoon to extend the program's win-streak to six games. Rubin posted a .714 batting average (5-7) with three doubles, one triple, one homerun and eight RBI, while registering a 2.841 OPS (1.857 SLG%, .714 OBP). The Maine native's five-hit week extended her hitting streak to 11-games where she is hitting .500 (16-32) with four doubles, one triple, three homeruns and 17 RBI. |
