PLAYER OF THE WEEK Mady Lyons, Johnson & Wales (Jr., C) Junior Mady Lyons batted .600 with two doubles, two home runs and six RBI in four games last week. The Prior Lake, Minn. native hit safely in all four outings - including a pair of two-hit outings - and smacked a three-run home run against Lasell on Friday. Lyons has already tied her career-high with seven home runs this season and has climbed into fifth-place on the all-time list at JWU with 18. |

PITCHER OF THE WEEK Piper Kinney, Simmons (Jr., P) Junior Piper Kinney picked up a pair of shutout wins against Rivier in GNAC North Division action as the Marlborough, Mass. native finished the week with a 2-0 record and 15 strikeouts. In game one, Kinney tossed a complete-game shutout fanning 11 opposing batters. Then in game two, Kinney native earned her eighth victory of the season tossing 4.1 innings of relief in a comeback victory, while fanning four Raider batters. |

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Zoe Soule, Simmons (Fr., C/OF) First-year Zoe Soule posted a .556 batting average in a 2-0 sweep over Rivier in GNAC North Division action. In the top of the fifth inning of game two and trailing by two, the Farmingdale, Me. native launched a three-run homerun to take a 9-8 lead and propel the Sharks to their 12th victory of the season. In addition, she drove in a career single-game best six runs in game two. |
WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Annabelle Jabs, Albertus Magnus - Struck out 19 batters in 17.2 innings in 2-0 week for Falcons with 1.58 ERA. Struck out nine in 5.2 innings in win over Mitchell.
Gabby Rubino, Albertus Magnus - Posted 444/.615/.556 lines during team's 6-0 week. Threw out potential game-tying run at third base in 3-2 win in seventh inning to end game one against Saint Joseph's Maine on 4/13.
Kiki Hicks, Anna Maria - Went 3-for-5 in a doubleheader GNAC sweep over Elms, batting .600 with a double and five RBI for the Amcats.
Lauryn Meade, Anna Maria - Earned two wins in doubleheader over Elms, posting a 1.83 era and 13 strikeouts.
Taylor Chelak, Emmanuel - Went 4-for-7 in a doubleheader GNAC sweep over Regis, averaging .571 at the plate with two doubles and three RBI.
Madison Marks, Emmanuel - Pitched a complete game in game one of a doubleheader sweep over Regis, posting five strikeouts and only allowing a run. Went 4-for-7 at the plate as well with four RBI.
Jill Reed, Johnson & Wales - Went 2-0 with a 1.40 earned run average and tossed the first no-hitter of her career. The Burlington, New Jersey native fanned five in a no-hit effort against Massachusetts Maritime on Wednesday, then held Lasell to six hits and two runs in a win on Friday. She finished the week with six strikeouts in 10 innings and holds 6-3 record thus far in 2025.
Raya Anderson, Simmons - Guided the Sharks to a 2-0 week, posting a .571 batting average with a 1.571 OPS (.571 OBP, 1.000 SLG%), which included a sweep of Rivier University in a midweek GNAC North Division doubleheader on Wednesday. In game two against the Raiders, Anderson scored the first run of the game which coincided with her 100th run of her collegiate career - becoming just the sixth player in program history to reach that milestone.
Emily Deleault, Simmons - Guided Simmons to a 2-0 week, posting a .667 batting average with a staggering 1.334 OPS (.667 SLG%, .667 OBP), which included a double-header sweep of Rivier in GNAC North Division action on Wednesday evening. Against the Raiders, Deleault went 6-for-9 (.667 average) with two RBI and two runs scored from the top of the Sharks batting order and scored on Zoe Soule's fifth inning homerun in game two's 10-8 victory.
Paige Fekete, University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) - Posted a perfect 2-0 record inside the circle for USJ, tossing two complete games while recording a 0.50 ERA, a 0.79 WHIP and ten strikeouts. The junior started her week by earning the complete-game victory in game one of a doubleheader against Regis, allowing only one earned run off of seven hits. Fekete picked up her 100th career strikeout against the Pride. She rounded out her stellar week with another complete-game victory in game one of a doubleheader against Dean, tossing a career-high nine strikeouts.
Jenna Zup, University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) - Paced the Blue Jays during a perfect 2-0 week, slashing .429/.529/.643 with six hits, one double, one triple, six runs scored, two RBI and three walks. She began the week with a 2-for-3 outing during a 11-2 win over Regis in game one of a doubleheader. Zup scored four runs in that game, while slashing a double and a triple, while drawing two walks. Zup rounded out the doubleheader with a 2-for-4 game in game two of the doubleheader. Zup rounded out her stellar week by notching the game-winning two-RBI walk-off single in a 3-2 victory against Dean.
