PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Sophia Quinlan, Rivier (Jr.)
Junior Sophia Quinlan went 12-for-18 with a .667 batting average, a .684 on base percentage, a 1.278 slugging percentage, 10 RBI, five runs scored, three home runs, and two doubles in the 6-0 week for the Raiders. The junior went 5-for-5 with a home run, two RBI, and two runs scored in the sweep over Anna Maria and added a 4-for-6 performance with two RBI, a double, and a run scored in the sweep over Norwich. Quinlan rounded out the week with a 5-for-7 day with five RBI, two home runs, two runs scored, and a double in the sweep over Regis.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Hailey Berube, Rivier (Jr.)
Junior Hailey Berube went 5-0 with three complete games, 26 strikeouts (6.28 k/7), a .72 era, and a 1.21 WHIP. She struck out seven batters in a complete game outing in the 3-1 win over Anna Maria and fanned 10 in 10 innings of work in the doubleheader sweep over Norwich. The junior rounded out the week with nine combined strikeouts in the sweep over Regis.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Nina Ostafin, Dean (Fr.)
Freshman Nina Ostafin had a breakout week for Dean, hitting at a high level while delivering one of the biggest moments of the weekend. Ostafin finished the week with a .636 batting average with 15 RBIs, four extra-base hits, five runs scored, and a walk-off grand slam on 3/29 v. USJ.
WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Karla Carangelo, Albertus Magnus - Carangelo hit three home runs and three triples during the week while scoring 10 runs and driving in 12, including two HR in G1 win over Lasell on Sunday.
Annabelle Jabs, Albertus Magnus - Jabs went 3-0 on the week with 19 strikeouts on the week, including 11 Ks against Regis on Saturday. Jabs also threw a no-hitter against Lasell.
Amelia Ovalles, Albertus Magnus - Ovalles went 2-0 on the week pitching with nine Ks in 8.2 IP. Ovalles was as strong at the plate with a .563 average with three 2B, seven RBI and three runs.
Rylee Smith, Emmanuel - Smith powered Emmanuel’s offense with two home runs, 10 RBI, four extra-base hits, and a .636 slugging percentage across seven games, highlighted by a four-RBI performance in a win over New England College and another four-RBI effort against Saint Joseph’s (Me.).
Olivia DeCicco, Mitchell - DeCicco delivered a strong week in the circle for Mitchell, making three starts and logging 18.0 innings while posting a 2.72 ERA and striking out 13 batters. Her top performance came in a 5–2 GNAC win over Elms, where she tossed a complete game, allowing just two runs while striking out five to secure the victory. She had another solid conference outing against Dean, throwing 6.0 innings and allowing just two earned runs without issuing a walk. Across conference play, she recorded a 2.15 ERA over 13.0 innings, limiting opponents to just four earned runs while striking out eight.
Emma Lopez, New England College - Lopez dominated this week for the Pilgrims, batting .563 with a .938 slugging percentage. She went 9-for-16 across four games, slugging five extra-base hits with four doubles (one in each game) and a triple. She helped lead the NEC offense with four RBIs and six runs scored as the 'Grims added two more GNAC victories.
Makayla Quintal, Saint Joseph's (Maine) - Quintal produced a strong week at the plate, batting .429 (9-for-21) with six runs scored, four doubles, a triple, a home run, and nine RBIs across eight games. She delivered key hits throughout the week, including a grand slam home run in a 5-3 victory over Southern Maine and a two-hit, two-RBI performance in a 4-2 win over Emmanuel. Quintal also recorded multiple hits in three contests, posted a .435 on-base percentage with an .857 slugging percentage, and fielded 31 chances without making an error as the Monks’ second baseman.
Piper Kinney, Simmons - Kinney had three wins in four GNAC games this weekend from the circle, including a complete game shutout against Norwich (7-0). Eleven strikeouts and just four hits through 7.0 innings of work against the Cadets. In a 9-1 W over SJC, Kinney gave up four hits through five innings in game one. In game two, coming in for the come from behind win, Kinney had 3 k's in 1.2 innings of work.
Emery Kreidel-Reimer, Simmons - Kreidel-Reimer recorded a hit in every game this week (six) to extend her hit streak to nine straight games. In four out of the six games this week, the senior had two hits. She had a season high RBI of 3 in a 9-1 W over SJC. Kreidel-Reimer had two doubles over the weekend in league action, all aiding in the 4-0 GNAC sweep.
Kaitlyn Ouellette, University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) - Ouellette paced the USJ offense during a 3-1 weekend, slashing .615/.667/1.000 with eight hits, two doubles, one home run, six RBI, two walks and four runs scored. She started by going 1-for-1 in game-one against Lasell, notching two runs, one RBI and two drawn walks and followed up by going 3-for-4 in the finale against the Lasers, recording one RBI. Ouellette continued her impressive weekend by notching two doubles in game-one against Dean, before concluding the week with another 2-for-4 outing, notching her first home run of the season and tallying four RBI.
