Rivier sophomore Lyric Grumblatt averaged 25.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 4.5 steals as the Raiders opened the season with wins against Fisher and Wellesley.

PLAYER / ROOKIE OF THE WEEK Lyric Grumblatt, Rivier (So., G - Manchester, N.H.) - Grumblatt averaged 25.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 4.5 steals per game as the Raiders opened the season with wins against Fisher at home and on the road over Wellesley out of the NEWMAC. The sophomore first-year also shot 48.6% from the floor (17-35), 40% from three (6-15), and 78.6% from the FT line (11-14). She scored 20 with six steals against Fisher before going off for 31 points, four assists and three steals in the key victory at Wellesley.

HONOR ROLL
Franchesca Hammond, Anna Maria (Sr., G - Worcester, Mass.) - Hammond averaged 13.7 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 3.0 steals in the opening week-plus (1-4) for the AMCATS. The team captain led the AMCATS to a 61-50 win over Lesley on Tuesday, and on Saturday was named to the All-Tournament Team at the Curry Tip-Off Invitational.
Rahmia Johnston, Elms (Sophomore, G) - Johnston averaged 11.0 points and 8.3 rebounds in a 3-0 week for the Blazers. She had 18 points and 11 boards against MCLA before double-doubling (11 PTS, 11 REB) with four steals in a road win over Salem State.
Loredana D'Agostino, Emmanuel (Mass.) (Sr, F - Broad Brook, Conn.) - Named the 2021 EC Tip-Off tournament MVP, the senior guided Emmanuel to a pair of wins over Salve Regina and Moravian to begin the season by averaging 13.5 points and 6.5 rebounds in a 2-0 weekend for the Saints. The forward posted a double-double in the championship win with 12 points and a game-high 10 rebounds and added four assists, three steals and one block for EC on the week.
Haley Brewster, Norwich (Fr., G - Virginia Beach, Va.) - Averaged 10.0 points per game through the teams' opening three contests of the season. Went 9 of 11 from the free throw line while registering four assists this week and four steals. Collected 28 rebounds averaging 9.3 per game.
Amanda Fudge, St. Joseph (Conn.) (Jr., G - Middletown, Conn.) - Fudge has helped lead the Blue Jays to a 2-2 start to the 2021-22 women's basketball campaign over the opening two weekends of competition. Through the first four games, Fudge has averaged 11.8 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 2.5 steals in 28.3 minutes of floor time per game. Fudge and the Blue Jays opened the 2021-22 season on Nov. 6-7 at the Wheaton College Tip-Off Classic. In USJ's season opener, Fudge finished with nine points and six rebounds on Nov. 6 against Wheaton and then followed that up with a 10-point, six rebound effort the next day against Maine Maritime. Fudge was impressive the following weekend at USJ's Tip-Off Tournament on Nov. 12-13. She helped power the Blue Jays to their first USJ Tip-Off Tournament championship since 2011 after she netted 13 points in the opening game of the tourney versus Lesley and then turned in a 15-point, four rebound, seven assist performance in the championship game on Saturday versus Bard in a 66-44 triumph.
Cassandra Stapelfeld, Saint Joseph's (Me.) (Senior, G - Brookline, N.H.) - Stapelfeld netted 20 points with five rebounds and three steals in a 61-51 victory at Worcester State University on Saturday. The senior guard was 7-for-13 from the field and 6-for-6 from the free throw line in the season-opening triumph.
