Albertus Magnus first-year Jakara Murray-Leach took home GNAC Player & Rookie of the Week honors after averaging 24.0 points and 8.5 rebounds.

PLAYER / ROOKIE OF THE WEEK Jakara Murray-Leach, Albertus Magnus (Fr., G/F - Norwalk, Conn.) - Murray-Leach led the Falcons to a pair of wins last week with 24.0 points, 8.5 rebounds and 3.0 steals per game, while shooting 60.6% from the floor (20-33) and 50% from three (5-10). The rookie began the week with her first-career double-double, tallying 20 points and 10 rebounds to go along with six steals across just 25 minutes of action in AMC's 81-50 win over Anna Maria on Wednesday. Murray-Leach then posted a season-high 28 points and seven rebounds to guide Albertus to an 84-67 victory over Rivier on Saturday.

Franchesca Hammond, Anna Maria (Sr., G - Worcester, Mass.) - Hammond scored a career-high 26 points (11-21 FG, 2-6 3PT, 2-2 FT) with seven rebounds against USJ on Saturday, after registering five points and eight boards in a setback against Albertus, averaging 15.5 points on 44.8% shooting and 7.5 rebounds.
Loredana D'Agostino, Emmanuel (Mass.) (Sr, F - Broad Brook, Conn.) - The senior averaged 14.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists while shooting 60% overall in a 2-0 week. She scored a game-high 17 points (7-11 FG, 3-4 FT) with seven boards, four assists and four steals to power Emmanuel to a 65-62 win over Emerson before netting 11 points with six rebounds in just 13 minutes of action in the Saints' GNAC victory over Colby-Sawyer.
Victoria Russian, Johnson & Wales (RI) (So., F - Milford, Mass.) - In one game last week, Russian paced the Wildcats with 21 points while adding eight rebounds (six offensive) and five steals in a loss to Salem State. Russian connected on 10-of-18 shots, good for 55.6% from the field.
Haley Brewster, Norwich (Fr., G - Virginia Beach, Va.) - Brewster averaged 18.0 points per game in a week in which the Cadets went 1-1, while moving to 2-0 in conference play. She added 6.0 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game.
Lyric Grumblatt, Rivier (So., G - Manchester, N.H.) - Grumblatt averaged 26.5 points, 11.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists in a 1-1 week for the Raiders, while shooting45.2% overall (19-42), 36.8% from three (7-19), and 80% at the FT line (8-10). She posted a 26-point, 10-rebound double-double with five assists last Tuesday in an 87-55 win over Mount Holyoke before registering 27 points with 12 boards in a GNAC loss at Albertus Magnus.
Jordan Ouellette, St. Joseph (Conn.) (So., G/F - Bristol, Conn.) - Ouellette had another monster week for USJ helping power the Blue Jays to a 3-0 record on the week, including a win over Anna Maria on Saturday to improve to 2-0 in GNAC play. Ouellette scored in double figures in all three games on the week averaging 20.0 points and 6.7 rebounds, while shooting 60.5% (26-43) from the floor and 88.9% (8-9) from the charity stripe. Ouellette opened the week with 16 points (8-17 FG) and eight rebounds on Tuesday in a 71-69 win at home over intrastate foe Mitchell College before netting 22 points (8-11) and grabbing five rebounds on Thursday at MCLA in a 67-49 triumph in USJ's final non-conference game of the season. Ouellette capped off the week with a 22-point (10-15) and seven-rebound performance on Saturday at home in a key 74-43 triumph over Anna Maria to keep the Blue Jays undefeated at home and in conference play on the year.
Cassandra Stapelfeld, Saint Joseph's (Maine) (Senior, G - Brookline, N.H.) - Stapelfeld helped lead the Monks to a 2-0 week by averaging 18.5 points and shooting 50.0% (15-30) from the field in wins over Regis and Elms. The senior guard netted 25 points in a hard-fought 64-62 victory at Regis on Wednesday before shooting 5-of-8 for 12 points in 27 minutes at Elms on Saturday.
