Albertus Magnus sophomore Jakara Murray-Leach captured her sixth Player of the Week award after the Falcons got a huge win over Saint Joseph's of Maine.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK Jakara Murray-Leach, Albertus Magnus (So., G/F - Norwalk, Conn.) - Murray-Leach put together two stellar performances last week in a pair of Albertus wins, averaging 22.5 points, 11.0 rebounds, and 3.5 steals and 2.0 assists while shooting 55.9% (19-34 FG, 5-10 3PT, 2-3 FT) overall. The sophomore guard shot 19-for-34 (55.9%) from the field and 5-for-10 (50%) from three-point range. Murray-Leach began the week tallying her ninth double-double of the season behind a 20-point, 15-rebound performance at Elms. She followed that performance by registering 25 points, seven rebounds, two assists and four steals to guide AMC to a signature 73-68 win over GNAC powerhouse Saint Joseph's of Maine. |

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK Brianna Wilcox, Rivier (Fr., F - Londonderry, N.H.) - Wilcox has been finding her place on the court since coming back from an early-season injury. Now fully healthy, last week she averaged 20.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 5.5 steals in 27..0 minutes per game as the Raiders went 1-1. After finishing with 12 points in a road setback versus Emmanuel, she went off for scored 29 points, seven rebounds and seven steals in a 67-50 victory at Norwich. |
GNAC HONOR ROLL
Caitlyn Scott, Albertus Magnus (Jr., G) - Scott averaged 21.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 2.5 steals in anotehr 2-0 week for Albertus, which included a key 73-68 win over Saint Joseph's of Maine. She went off for 37 points (13-23 FG, 1-5 3PT, 10-12 FT), four boards, five helpers and three steas in a 79-57 win over Elms.
Marissa Holt, Colby-Sawyer (So, G - Alfred, Maine) - Holt led the scoring for Colby-Sawyer on Saturday's contest against USJ. She tallied 19 points (6-14 FG, 1-4 3-FG, 6-9 FT) to go along with nine rebounds, five steals and a block. In the first quarter, Holt did excellent defensive work collecting three defensive rebounds and two steals. In the second half, her offensive game started to click as she recorded 14 points for the Chargers.
Kiera Eubanks, Emmanuel (Mass.) (Jr, F - Portland, Maine) - Eubanks enjoyed a breakout week for the Saints, averaging 22.0 points and 8.5 rebounds, shooting a gaudy 76.0 % from the field over in a pair of Emmanuel victories. The junior opened the week with a double-double of 21 points and 11 rebounds in an 87-70 win over Rivier and followed it up with a career-high 23 points plus six boards in just 17 minutes of action versus Anna Maria. The forward also registered six assists, three steals and two blocked shots for EC.
Maren McGinn, Norwich (So, F - Georgia, Vt.) - McGinn was a force inside for the Cadets in a twogame week, first posting an impressive 71.4% clip from the floor to finish with 13 points while bring down nine boards against Regis. The sophomore wrapped up the week with her second-highest scoring effort in her career, logging 22 points on a 10-15 mark against Rivier. For the week, McGinn averaged 17.5 points on 68.2% shooting to go with 7.0 boards.
Pam Gonzalez, Regis (Mass.) (Sr., G - Revere, Mass.) - Gonzalez hit a major milestone as she led the Pride to their fifth and sixth straight victories last week. On Thursday at Norwich, she notched her eighth double-double of the season with 14 points and 11 rebounds, plus she earned three assists and three steals. On Saturday against JWU, she finished with 18 points, eight rebounds, and five steals. She hit a three-pointer early in the first quarter to reach the 1,000-point mark for her career, becoming the 18th player in program history to reach that milestone, including the eighth Regis player to accomplish that feat within three playing seasons and the first for Regis women's basketball entirely within the GNAC. In the 2-0 stretch, she shot 47.6% (10-21) overall and was 9-of-11 from the FT line.
Madi Zancan, Regis (Mass.) (Fy., F - Cumberland, R.I.) - Zancan led the Pride to a 2-0 week, extending their winning streak to six games, which marks the team's longest in six years. On Thursday night at Norwich, she contributed eight points, six rebounds, two assists, three steals, and two blocks. On Saturday against JWU, she led the Pride with 20 points in just 21 minutes of action, including nine straight points in the second quarter to help the Pride establish a significant lead. Zancan also collected six rebounds and three steals, going 5-for-7 from the field and 10-for-13 from the FT line.
Jordan Ouellette, St. Joseph (Conn.) (Jr., G/F - Bristol, Conn.) - Guided the Blue Jays to a 2-0 week on the road. Started off the week with a 17 points and 6 rebounds outing in only 19 minutes of play during the blowout victory at Lasell on Thursday. Capped off the week with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 2 steals at Colby-Sawyer on Saturday. Ouellette shot 63.0 percent from the field across the two games.
