Player Of The Week
Madi Zancan, Regis (Sr.)
Senior forward Madi Zancan turned in a dominant week, averaging 29.5 points, 20.0 rebounds, and five steals per game while leading Regis to a pair of conference victories. She shot an outstanding 60.5 percent from the field and 92.9 percent from the free-throw line, totaling 59 points and 40 rebounds across two starts. Zancan opened the week with 27 points and 20 rebounds in a 79–61 win over Mitchell on January 28, adding six steals and two blocks in a complete two-way performance. She followed with a career-best 32-point outing in an 82–77 win over Norwich on January 31, shooting 12-for-17 from the floor and a perfect 8-for-8 at the free-throw line, while once again pulling down 20 rebounds. In the Norwich game, Zancan delivered the final 10 points for the Pride to lift them to the victory. Zancan leads the league in scoring at 20.9 points, and second in rebounds (11.9) and total steals (62).
Rookie Of The Week
Maggi Ellsworth, Norwich (Fr.)
Freshman guard Maggi Ellsworth delivered another dominant all-around performance for Norwich during a 1-1 GNAC week, averaging 22.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 2.5 steals per game while shooting 47.2 percent from the field, 50.0 percent from three-point range, and a perfect 5-for-5 at the free-throw line. The first-year guard led Norwich to a statement 68-55 win over Lasell on Wednesday, posting 19 points, five rebounds, five assists, four steals, and a block. She followed with a career-tying 26-point, 12-rebound double-double in Saturday’s GNAC thriller at Regis, knocking down five three-pointers and fueling multiple late comeback pushes. Ellsworth leads the conference in 3P field-goal % at 45.1%
WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Tanner Drury, Colby-Sawyer - Drury led the Chargers to a 2-0 week in conference play where she averaged 13.5 ppg, and 4.5 rpg. She started the week by having eight points over Rivier before leading the team in points with 19 at home against Mitchell. She would add a game high eight assists while pulling down six rebounds as well.
Abigail Lacy, Dean - Lacy averaged 20.5 points a game with eight rebounds in a 1-1 week for the Bulldogs. She had 24 points and eight rebounds in a win vs. New England College and 17 points with eight rebounds vs. USJ.
Shea Canavan Emmanuel - Canavan averaged 12.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.5 steals in just 18 minutes a game in a 2-0 week for the Saints, highlighted by a 16 point outing against Lasell. She also had eight points, seven boards, and six steals against New England College.
Laura Johnson, Lasell - Johnson put up 14 points and 23 rebounds with four steals in a setback to Norwich before she scored 22 points (9-of-13) and grabbing 27 rebounds against Emmanuel. On the week, the senior averaged 18 points and 25 rebounds.
Cassidy Kittredge, Norwich - Kittredge turned in an outstanding week for Norwich, averaging 20.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game while shooting an impressive 56.3 percent from the floor and 45.5 percent from three-point range across two GNAC contests. The rookie forward poured in a game-high 25 points on 11-of-15 shooting in Norwich’s 68-55 win over Lasell, knocking down three three-pointers and setting the tone during a decisive 23–2 second quarter. She followed with 16 points, eight rebounds, and five assists in a narrow 82-77 loss at Regis, helping Norwich rally multiple times in a tightly contested road matchup.
Logan Brown, Saint Joseph's (Maine) - Brown averaged 15.0 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game while shooting 45.0% (9-of-20) from the field, 45.0% (9-of-20) from three-point range, and 75.0% (3-of-4) at the free-throw line. She poured in 16 points in just 20 minutes in Wednesday’s win at Elms College—knocking down five three-pointers on 10 attempts—and followed with 14 points behind a 4-for-10 effort from deep in Saturday’s home victory over Albertus Magnus College.
Nevaeh Yorke, University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) - Yorke guided the Blue Jays to a perfect 2-0 week, averaging 13.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 3.5 steals per game, which was highlighted by a 17 point, eight rebound, and eight assist performance over Rivier.
