Ariellys Velez, Albertus Magnus (Fr.)
Freshman guard Ariellys Velez averaged 28.5 points a game on 57.5% from the field, including 50% from three with four steals a game in a 2-0 week for the Falcons. She netted 33 points on 12-for-16 shooting with four assists and three steals in a 87-65 win over Dean before scoring 24 points, collecting four rebounds and five steals in a tight 72-69 win over Colby-Sawyer to secure the 6 seed in the upcoming tournament.
WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Ava Johnson, Albertus Magnus - Johnson averaged a double-double with 13.5 ppg and 12.0 rpg in a 2-0 week for the Falcons and shot 63.2 percent from the field and had a double-double in both games.
Lauren MacDonald, Colby-Sawyer - MacDonald had an electric final week for the Chargers, leading the team in scoring during both games to end the season. She shot a season best 65.2% from the field over the span of a two-game period, while averaging 19 ppg. Lauren also pulled down 5.5 rebounds per game, while totaling 7 assists. She would also end the week with three blocks and a steal.
Mary Turco, Elms - Turco averaged 18.5 points, 14.0 rebounds, 1.5 steals, and 2.0 blocks in a 1-1 week for the Blazers, which was highlighted by her 21 point, 15 rebound, and three steal/block game in a win over Rivier. She also had 16 points and 13 rebounds against Norwich.
Nylah Mitchell, Emmanuel - Mitchell put up 13.0 points and 7.5 rebounds in just 19 minutes a game in a 2-0 week, highlighted by an 18 point and seven rebound performance against Rivier.
Blaize Mack, Lasell - Mack averaged 19 points on 51.7% with 7.5 rebounds and 5.0 assists in a 2-0 week, highlighted by a 19 point, 12 rebound performance against Mitchell in the regular season finale.
Camryn Lewis, New England College - Lewis averaged 13.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game while shooting an impressive 60% from the field and 75% from the free throw line during a 1-1 week for the Pilgrims. She opened the week with 15 points, a team-high 10 rebounds, and three assists on Tuesday against USJ (Conn.). The Taunton, Massachusetts native followed with 12 points, eight rebounds, and a team-high six assists in a dominant 90-34 non-conference victory over Lesley University on Saturday.
Zoey Swanson, Regis - Swanson had a breakout week in a 1-1 showing for the Pride, highlighted by a huge performance in the 86-73 win at Dean College. She recorded her second career double-double, finishing with career highs of 20 points and 15 rebounds while shooting an efficient 9-of-16 from the field. For the week, Swanson averaged 12.5 points and 10.0 rebounds, totaling 25 points and 20 rebounds along with 4 steals and 2 blocks in two games.
Madi Zancan, Regis - Zancan averaged 16.0 points and 11.0 rebounds while shooting an efficient 48.1% from the field and a perfect 6-for-6 from the free-throw line in a 1-1 week for the Pride. In the 86-73 conference win at Dean College, she recorded 18 points and 14 rebounds for a double-double, adding 3 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks. For the week, she totaled 32 points, 22 rebounds, 3 steals, 2 blocks, and 3 assists in 51 minutes.
Elisabeth Stapelfeld, Saint Joseph's (Maine) - Stapelfeld kept rolling down the stretch, averaging 21.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.5 steals while shooting 59.1% (13-of-22) from the field, 50.0% (4-of-8) from three, and 80.0% (12-of-15) at the line in two conference wins. She posted 17 points with five rebounds and two assists in a decisive win at Regis on Tuesday, then erupted for 25 points on 7-of-10 shooting with six rebounds, four assists, and three steals in a 76-54 victory over University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) on Saturday.
