Player Of The Week
Madi Zancan, Regis (Sr.)
Senior forward Madi Zancan averaged 23.0 points on 70.4% shooting, along with 10.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists in a 1–1 week for the Pride. Zancan opened the stretch by tying her career high with 32 points (13–17 FG) and adding 14 rebounds in a setback against Wheaton. She followed with 14 points (6–10 FG) in just 19 minutes during the win over Fitchburg State. Zancan also recorded three steals in each contest, contributing on both ends of the floor throughout the week.
Rookie Of The Week
Cassidy Kittredge, Norwich (Fr.)
Freshman forward Cassidy Kittredge turned in a dominant two-game stretch to lead Norwich to a runner-up finish at the 2025 Ed Hockenbury Classic, averaging 14.0 points and 8.5 rebounds while shooting 50.0% from the field and a perfect 7-7 at the free-throw line. The freshman posted 15 points and seven boards in a 75-30 opening-round win over Vermont State University Randolph, then capped the weekend with a 13-point, 10-rebound double-double against New England College to earn a spot on the All-Classic Team.
WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Tyra Blye, Emmanuel - Averaged 18.3 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 2.7 steals per game in a 2-1 week. Put up 12 points, seven rebounds, and four steals in a setback to Salve Regina. Had 20 points and four steals in a close 72-69 win over Emerson and flirted with a double-double with 23 points and nine rebounds in a 78-65 win over Clark.
Shea Canavan, Emmanuel - Averaged 10.3 points with 3.0 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game in a 2-1 week. Netted 19 points on 7-for-10 shooting, including 5-for-6 from three, with four rebounds and four assists in a win over Emerson and put up 12 points, four rebounds, and three steals in a win over Clark.
Shirle Major, Lasell - Scored 23 points on 6-for-12 shooting in a win over former GNAC foe Anna Maria, including 4-for-6 from deep, and grabbed three rebounds with two steals. Had 23 points on 8-for-12 in a setback to Springfield, going 6-for-8 from the three.
Jordyn Streitmatter, Mitchell - Was unstoppable in her lone appearance for the Mitchell women’s basketball team on the week, leading the Mariners to a 100–24 win over Fisher. She scored a game-high 25 points on 11-for-23 shooting, added a three-pointer, and was perfect at the free-throw line. Streitmatter paired her scoring with a commanding presence on the glass, finishing with 11 rebounds—four of them offensive—to record her first collegiate double-double. She also contributed four steals and a block, all while committing just one turnover.
Jayden Estrada, New England College - Averaged 15.3 points per game in a 3-0 week for the Pilgrims with wins over Mount Holyoke, Maine-Fort Kent, and Norwich. The junior shot 10-of-17 (58%) from distance and 16-of-34 (47%) from the field. She scored a season-high 20 points against Norwich on Saturday as NEC secured a 15-point victory over the Cadets to win the 2025 Ed Hockenbury Classic where Estrada was named MVP.
Elisabeth Staplefeld, Saint Joseph's (Maine) - Averaged 15.0 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 3.0 assists while shooting 51.4% (18-35) from the floor and 6-for-7 from the FT line in a 2-1 week for the Monks. The senior guard scored 15 points with five rebounds in a 41-39 win over Endicott on Wednesday, added 14 points and six boards against Eastern Connecticut on Friday, and netted 16 points with six rebounds and six assists in a 76-57 victory over Wellesley on Saturday.
