GNAC Lacrosse Weekly Honors: April 12

Taylor Allison (St. Joe’s ME), Justine Beauchamp (Simmons) and Maeghan Ross (Emerson) have earned Great Northeast Athletic Conference’s Lacrosse Weekly Honors.

Ross lead the team to a 2-1 week with two GNAC victories over Simmons and Mount Ida. The junior dominated all three games averaging 6.5 goals per game this week. Ross placed 31 of 34 shots she took on net (.912), had 12 draw controls, 12 ground balls, six caused turnovers and 20-5 in face-offs (.800). This is Ross’ second consecutive week as GNAC Player of the Week.

Freshman Justine Beauchamp played both defense and midfield this week, earning a total of 3 points. Beauchamp offered 3 points, 6 groundballs, 10 draw controls, and 4 caused turnovers in two games. The rookie accounts for an astonishing 20% of all draw controls in both games for all teams.

Allison made 25 saves in three conference wins over Simmons, Lasell and St. Joseph (Conn.) last week. The sophomore keeper posted an 8.67 goals-against average with a .490 save percentage during the week to help the Monks maintain their undefeated campaign. With Taylor Allison in goal, the Monks increase to 6-0 in the conference.
