Carli Quinlan, Simmons (Sr.)
Senior Carli Quinlan started her senior campaign strong in Simmons' meet against Westfield State as she took first place by a large margin in the 200 yard freestyle (1:59.58) and added another first place finish in the 50 yard fly, touching the wall at 27.28..
Diver Of The Week
Reilly Laitala, Norwich (Sr.)
Senior Reilly Laitala once again swept both diving boards in Saturday's 151-140 win over Husson, extending her unbeaten streak in 1-meter competition this season. The senior dominated the six-dive optional round with a 208.65 score, then followed up with a 149.80 in the five-dive voluntary round, outscoring the field by more than 10 points in each event. Her double-win effort provided critical scoring separation for Norwich in a meet decided by just 11 points.
Rookie Of The Week
Mia Cortes, Albertus Magnus (Fr.)
Freshman Mia Cortes won three races on the day for the women's team, starting with the 100-yard breaststroke by over 11 seconds with a time of 1:16.69. She also won by over 28 seconds in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:41.40. In the 200-yard individual medley, she won with a time of 2:28.24, nearly six seconds ahead of second place.
WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Alissa Schettini, Elms - Placed first in the Women's 1650-Yard Freestyle (22:45.18), Women's 500-Yard Freestyle (6:34.92) and helped her team win the Women's 200-Yard Freestyle Relay at 1:56.67.
Delaney Allen, Norwich - Delivered a remarkable early-meet performance to help Norwich edge Husson, 151-140, in a tightly contested dual victory on Saturday. The rookie swept all three of her individual events and anchored the Cadets' opening relay win, all before the halfway mark of the 16-event slate. Allen opened the meet with a strong swim in the 400-yard medley relay (4:33.19), teaming with Burgan Danger, Vivian Buntin, and Katelyn Daly to secure first by more than three seconds. She followed with near back-to-back-to-back individual victories in the 200-yard freestyle (2:05.84), 50-yard breaststroke (34.59), and 50-yard freestyle (26.62), showcasing elite versatility and endurance across three different strokes.
Sophia Caruso, Regis - In the Pride's victory over Plymouth State on Halloween night Caruso paced the Pride with three first-place finishes, highlighted by multiple top-10 program marks. She won the 200 freestyle in 2:02.60, moving her to fifth all-time in program history, then took the 50 freestyle in 25.09, tying her for sixth all-time. Caruso closed her individual events with another win in the 100 freestyle, clocking 55.09 to move into fifth all-time.
Melanie Powers, Simmons - took first in the one meter diving with a final score of 177.53.
