Chaelin Humphrey, Simmons (So.)
Sophomore Chaelin Humphrey had a fantastic race in the 100 yard butterfly, touching the final wall first with a time of 1:06.66. Humphrey swam to another first place finish this time in the 50 yard butterfly (29.89).
Diver Of The Week
Reilly Laitala, Norwich (Sr.)
Senior Reilly Laitala swept both diving events on Saturday at Saint Michael's, continuing her dominance on the boards with a pair of decisive wins. The senior opened her day with a score of 170.20 on the 3-meter board to defeat Saint Michael's top diver by over 28 points. She followed with a 202.45 on the 1-meter board, topping a four-diver field and finishing nearly 28 points ahead of the nearest competitor. Laitala remains unbeaten on the boards this season in dual meet competition.
Rookie Of The Week
Delaney Allen, Norwich (Fr.)
Freshman Delaney Allen continued her strong rookie campaign with a pair of runner-up individual finishes and two top relay splits in Saturday’s dual meet at Saint Michael's. The first-year placed second in both the 50-yard freestyle (26.45) and 500-yard freestyle (5:51.81), showcasing her versatility across sprint and distance events. She also anchored the Cadets' 200-yard medley relay to a 2:02.73 finish and the 200-yard freestyle relay to a 1:49.48 mark, less than two seconds behind the top Saint Michael's squad and ahead of their B team by 0.29 seconds.
WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Burgan Danger, Norwich - Secured Norwich's lone swim victory in Saturday's meet at Saint Michael's, out-touching the Purple Knights' top backstroker by just six-hundredths of a second to win the 100-yard backstroke in 1:08.85. She added a third-place finish in the 200-yard backstroke (2:28.92), and led off the Cadets' 200-yard medley relay (2:02.73) to open the meet. Danger also swam the opening leg for Norwich’s B team in the 200-yard freestyle relay, which placed fourth overall.
Melanie Powers, Simmons - Came in first in diving event with a score of 192.60.
Sara Omar, University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) - Continued her impressive debut season, breaking her own freshman record in the 200 freestyle at Friday’s meet.
