Great Northeast Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Report - Week 4

Player of the Week
Emily Williamson (Spencer, Mass.), Senior, 3^rd Singles/2^nd Doubles, Anna Maria College
Williamson was a perfect 4-0 on the week for the AMCATS. In a 9-0 conference win over Mount Ida the senior dropped only one game en route to a straight set victory at No. 3 singles and paired with Victoria Minotti posted and 8-0 shutout at the No. 2 Doubles. On Sunday Anna Maria downed MCAL 7-2 for their second victory of the week. Williamson once again went 2-0 vs. MCLA, at No. 4 singles she netted straight set 6-2, 6-2 win and an 8-1 at doubles. The AMCATS set a new school record for wins in a season with 6.

Rookie of the Week
Jessica Gautieri (North Attleboro, Mass.), Freshman, 1^st Singles/1^st Doubles, Anna Maria College
Gautieri led the AMCATS to a 2-0 week and helped Anna Maria set a new school record for wins in a season (6). Versus Mount Ida College the No. 1 player earned a straight set victory (6-3, 6-1) and with teammate Nichole Goudreau posted a 9-1 doubles win. In a home match vs. MCLA Gautieri once again swept at No. 1 in both singles (6-2, 6-1) and doubles (8-2).
