PLAYER/ROOKIE OF THE WEEK Emilie Lapointe, Simmons (Fy.) First year, Emilie Lapointe has the tough task of playing in the top positions for Simmons in both singles and doubles play. This week, she was very successful in doubles, going 2-1 as part of the Sharks top pair. She dropped her opening match to Gordon, 8-3, on Monday (Sept. 4) before picking up victories over Suffolk and Thomas’ top duos. Lapointe was also Simmons’ No. 1 singles player, earning a 6-1, 6-0 straight-set win over Terriers’ ace. |
WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Molly Martin, Albertus Magnus - Won her first singles and doubles matches playing Lehman at the No. 5 and No. 3 positions, respectively. Earned an 8-0 win in singles and an 8-1 win in doubles.
