Track Athlete Of The Week
Jaden Johnson, Simmons (So.)
Sophomore Jaden Johnson finished fifth in the 5k at the Gordon Kelly Meet with a 19:41.41 time, which was the top time in the GNAC this year. Her mark set a school record, personal best, and is currently #44 in DIII New England, which is tied for the highest ranking of any GNAC athlete in any track event this year.
Field Athlete Of The Week
Kason Huynh, Emmanuel (Jr.)
Junior Kason Huynh finished second in the high jump at 1.55 meters at the Wesleyan Alumni Indoor Invitational, which places her tied for first in the event and tied for 11th in New England DIII leaderboards.
Rookie Of The Week
Alisha Gomes, Emmanuel (Fr.)
Freshman Alisha Gomes finished second in the 60 meters at 8.17 and fourth in the 200 meters at 27.55. Gomes is the current GNAC leader in the 60 meters (36th in New England) and second in the 200 meters (32nd in New England).
