Ella Meeker, Lasell (So.)
Sophomore Ella Meeker smashed the program record in the 5000m at the Harvard Invitational by nearly 2 full minutes, placing 18th with a time of 19:40.54.
Field Athlete Of The Week
Ella Labrie, Saint Joseph's (Maine) (So.)
Sophomore Ella Labrie set a school record in the triple jump at USM with a mark of 10.82m (35’ 6”), hitting the New England Division III provisional standard. That performance currently ranks her 16th in New England Division III and first in the GNAC in the triple jump. Labrie also added a New England Division III provisional mark in the long jump at 5.02m which now ranks first in the conference.
Rookie Of The Week
Amber Penedleton, Saint Joseph's (Maine) (Fr.)
First-year standout Amber Pendleton clocked 1:02.78 in the 400 at BU, setting a new Saint Joseph’s school record and moving to first in the GNAC in that event. Her time also surpassed teammate Ava Smart’s earlier 400 mark from the same meet, giving the Monks back-to-back program-best efforts in the span of one day. Pendleton also ran a strong leg on the school-record 4x400 relay, further solidifying her impact on the sprint and mid-distance core. Pendleton rounded out the weekend with a 6:04 mile at the USM Husky Invite.
WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Ava Fisher, Emmanuel - Fisher had a second-place finish at the RCC Open in the Weight Throw with 12.67 meters and followed with a third-place finish in the Shot Put (10.58m), second in the conference.
Alisha Gomes, Emmanuel - Gomes won the 60 meters at the RCC Open (8.13 seconds), which leads the GNAC currently and finished fifth in the 200 meters at 27.30 seconds.
Julia Benvengu, Regis - At the RCC Tigers Open, Benvegnu clocked a personal best 1:03.56, good for third fastest in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) this season and sixth all-time for the Regis indoor program. She also led the Pride in the 60-yard dash, finishing in 8.56 seconds.
Ava Smart, Saint Joseph's (Maine) - Smart continued her strong campaign with a 27.83 in the 200 meters at USM after running 1:03.08 in the 400 at BU, the second-fastest 400 in program history (held all-time fastest until teammate Amber Pendleton breaks it later in the meet). That performance currently places her third in the GNAC in the 400 meters. Smart also teamed up in the 4x400, helping the Monks break the school record in that relay, showing her value both individually and on the relay stage.
Isabel Deptula, Simmons - Deptula finished second best overall amongst rookies and 8th overall as well as best on the week in the 60mH (10.73, which is a new school record) in the GNAC rankings. Deptula nearly added a second program record on the afternoon, recording a time of 1:33.44 in the 500m, which was just two seconds shy of the Simmons' mark.
